For those of you with aluminum mounts. Which one do you have, how much was it, and how do you like it?
I'm in the market for one and getting some feedback. Thanks.

Get the 3racing billet unit. It's adjustable for/aft and it doesn't break like the stocker. Comes in several colors also.

IF you decide to go with the traxxas big block kit (which you can use with a SB/1-8th clutch) then it's like $35 BIN on ebay, or $50 at the hobby shops. Comes with a forward only kit too, so you would have spare tranny gears.
This will also allow you to drop a big block in when/if that day comes.
A SB with stock clutch WILL NOT fit the traxxas BB kit. Again, only a SB with a 1/8th scale clutch mounted. With that setup you would use the "mid-block" holes on the mount.
The mount comes with holes for mid blocks AND BB's

Well that may be true but it'll break at the worst possible time!

yes, just use the "mid-block" mounting options.
I should edit in that I am fairly confident I could get it to fit good. Modding may be needed, the average RC enthusiest should have no problem with whatever may need to be done. Basically:
you should be alright but be prepped to mod if needed. I've never did what I'm telling you will fit, but that's what a dremel is for

you may even have to drill new holes in your motor case so they line up with the motor mount holes....not sure.

Reason I'm looking is because I've broken 2. One, it cracked pretty good underneath. The second broke on the corner which keeps me from using the outer hole to mount the linkage on. Using the inner hole, I get binding and it prevents 100% throttle.

Snakebite, consider yourself fortunate that you've not broken a stock motor mount as it's a VERY common problem.

maybe sotach is breaking so many motor mounts because that hillbilly motor.....i mean tnt motor is just to much for your truck. That thing is just so freaking fast and unreal that it breaks motor mounts just going down the straight away. You might as well put that on a f350 truck because thats probly the only thing that can tame that tnt motor. Especially with a 1/8th clutch on there.
