I am not sure if I read it on the last 11 pages or on the grid. This track has outdoor dirt, so like a Cf or K2 tire will work, and not the tpical LH indoor tires correct?

The track is NOT the "typical" Illinois outdoor dirt. It IS a pretty uniquie dirt though. MUCH Closer to LH as far as tire selection than not.

As the day goes on, it used to get dry slick. Switches ( ground down even) often worked MUCH better than Crime fighters and K2's. ( but than again, what do I know.......I was usually one of the "Others") :joy: :joy:

hahah ed. we couldnt hit 18 last sunday. me and marcell both were stuck at 19.040. i tried like hell to get that 18.

new lay out as of right now. havent seen it.

tires... i no longer like the switch there... last time i ran them, they had a push. now im running worn down med pin tires. like a K2 but 50% gone.

it is unique dirt. its a cross between LH and hardestys. its called surgar clay. packs hard like clay, but at the same time its has a granular top. it will get brushed away and start to leave a blue groove if there is enuf traffic. im using the same tire i did at the elburn track, so dont feel like you need a special tire to come here.

I think I'll just run the Crime MT on my Revo. I'll bring the HotBodies tires (stock on a LSP) also just incase those might hook better. I'm thinkin I may be alright with my Crimes though.

Thanks for the info guys, is this dirt like that extreme raceway in Iowa. That dirt killed a set of tires in one day...

slim, do you know what the heat/main times will be yet?
and I'm trying to get everything together and finished by the 4th to make this race.. anyone have room for another to ride along? and.. my truck's 1/10 scale 4wd.. stadium truck, but I could run MT tires if that's what it takes to run..

I just wanna make sure I'll be allowed to run if I'm rushing to get it built, and planning on making the trip..

nick, im not sure it there will be enuf to have 10th scale truck, much less 4wd. i dont wanna discouraage you, but dont want you to drive 2-3 hours and not have a class.... pete might be ready with his mugen 10th, but its 2wd... i doubt hed care.

MAT's ? new term for me.. but I was thinkin I might be able to run with the unlimited monsters or 1/8scale.. probably 1/8 scale would be a more suited class..

I doubt they would want you to run in 1/8th. That is the biggest class, and where the most money will be, and the most serious drivers.

we can find somewhere for you to run, prolly wont be with the 1/8th scale bugs tho, as that is mainly what the cash race is for... and honestly youd get run over lol....bugs are very fast there.
