they got different tracks to choose from so we gotta pick one. But like i said before we dont have a set in stone number for showing up so we cant get an accurate price yet untill we know how many for sure.

MIch I say since you are doing the leg work, you pick the format.
If its $24 for 2 races and then 10-15 for another. I would like to run 4 times. just my opinion. From their website then only discount would be the license fee waived if more than six in a group. I think we will have six, I am bringing 4 rich and ryan is six right there.

we should have at least 6. Im trying to get a couple local buddies of mine going so we'll see how that happens.

george dont forget you have to buy a license to get those other races at 10-15 dollars. I think im just gonna suck it up and get the yearly license. That way if we wanted to we can just show up and race one day and pay 10 bucks a race. Seems if we go enough times it will be worth it and cheaper in the end.

o and we can pick once were there. I hate making decisions like that and calling places to find out info so as your commander i command everyone to pick the track as a group on friday night.
Semper fi, Carry on.

Taken from their website:
Any driver not taking part in a Group Event must purchase either a Monthly or Annual License at cost of $10.00 or $25.00 respectively. Races cost $25.00 each for the first two races and either $15.00 for Monthly License holders or just $10.00 for Annual License holders for subsequent races on the same day (not available Saturdays). The way I read this (and I may be wrong) Since we will be a group we dont have to buy licenses

The frist 2 races of the day are always $25 each. It's race 3-? that are discounted based on license purchased.

So the questio remains" if you have a goup of 6 or more do you have to buy a license?"
By the way the website states you dont have to, as I posted in my post #81

I don't believe you do.
I think with group rates, they set the price per person depending on amount of races desired, what track you run on, etc. Think of it as a flat rate. That's how it was last time I went with a group. They said I owed so much, and it was all inclusive.

MIch what is this going to cost me lap:

We pretty much got the head count, use that.
11-16-2005, 01:33 PM
im just gonna say 6 people and if more show up then its gonna be a little less. At least this way we can expect to pay the most and if more show up it will just get cheaper.

Sounds good.

ok i think we should just do there grand prix style of racing. Theres 2 kinds to choose from so il post the info.
For the grand prix race there will be 3 qualifiers and a 30 lap final race. If we choose the 600foot track its 20 laps for each qualifier. If we choose the 800foot track its 15 laps for each qualifier. Final race is 30 laps regardless of which track we choose. This race will cost us 80 a person. Super grand prix..... 3 qualifiers on the 800foot track with 25 laps for each qualifier and a 40 lap final race. Cost for this one is 110 a person.

i might add this is a 2 hour event and it will only be us on the track if we choose this.
11-16-2005, 02:41 PM
My vote is for grand prix. I'd like to have some money left over for food and booze.
11-16-2005, 03:01 PM
i chose the grand prix on the 600 foot track so we can get an extra 5 laps in.
11-16-2005, 03:27 PM
This is prolly a silly question.
Does anyone know how many laps one would do in a reqular 8-10 minute race. I was thinking the 2 races for $25 then do another race or 2 for another 15 each. Then you are looking at only $55 bucks or so. Just looking to make it As inexpensive as possible so we dont rule out people going because of the high cost. Since xmas is right around the corner... I am going either way just some thoughts....

i thought it was $25 for each race so $50 then $10 or $15 after that so with a montly liscence it would be $80!

no go back, Mich posted $25 for the first 2, then 15 for each additional. License fee is waived since it is a group of 6 or more.

ive tried asking about how long it takes to do a lap but they keep telling me its based on how fast you go. They wont tell me how many seconds each lap is. I figured this grand prix might be better for a first time because we will only be racing each other instead of just having open racing. Anyone can feel free to call and ask but ive already called like 5 times today and i think there getting annoyed with me lol. 847-941-9400
