replace it when the shoes have worn down uneven, or when the spring breaks or has no spring left in it. I periodically sand my shoes and clutch bell down so its always like brand new.

sweet thanks. do you kno anything about the mip clutch? i was thinking about getting it but im not sure if itll have an advantage to it since im only running the stock motor.

thats the only 2 shoe clutch il run so yes i know about it. I like it because its adjustable because you can choose to have a snap engagment were it just goes more snappy when you hit the gas or you can put it on the lower setting and have it grab normal. My last set i had got about 4 gallons on them before the spring finally gave way. Definatly an awesome clutch and i would highly recommend it.

Just picked up an extended chassis from snakebite . Looks like the revo is gonna be a super stretch monster truck lol. Chassis is 1in longer up front, and the arms will add another 3/4 out back. I hope 1 3/4in extension isn't too much...

Wow... nice. What clutch would you guys reccomend for use with the RB .23?? the XTM .18?? could I transfer the one I would have on the .23 to the .18??

And Ryan... Where did you get that carbon fiber throttle servo mount?? I have the regular Teckno RC one but that thing is awesome... I think I am enjoying this whole basher turned racer transformation... (Anyone have a use for the center and rear portion of the HCR skid??? LoL)

Stock clutch should work ok for the XTM. I think most guys running the 323 use stock as well. Check your clutch every couple of tanks and see how its holding up.

Really... So the MIP clutch would be a good upgrade for either of those motors as well...?? What about some 3-shoes?? And how do they compare to the MIP 2-shoe?

I'd go with the Traxxas clutch shoes. 4146X. I had good results with them. 3-shoe ? you talking Crazy nut set-up ?

My honest recommendation would be to try using either the Mip or hop-up traxxas shoes before you spend the money on a new flywheel, shoe and spring set-up.

Gotcha... if that is plenty then never mind. I just thought it may be a little "under grippy" with the power of the .23. If it isn't then I have no problem staying with traxxas shoes or the MIP clutch...

Traxxas clutch shoes are really nice shoes. IF they had them in a size 14 i would wear them .

The stock traxxas clutch is good stuff. If it ain't broke don't fix it! I'm still using the factory clutch that came with the truck (about 5 gallons on it) and it still works great. Last time I took of the clutch bell to inspect at the trophy race I noticed that the spring was starting to rust a little and the shoes looked a tad worn. Not bad I say for that kind of use. So instead of trying some new setup, I'm just picked up another traxxas clutch .

Since I missed out on ordering the Revo extended rear arms from amain, I found them in stock at bocarc.com. The guy said they just got them in today and they have about 12 pairs left, needless to say I ordered some up. Just figured I'd pass it along in case anybody's interested.

ok my castle thiniges are coming loose and i kno that a few people use set screws to hold them in. what size set screw do i need? and what size bit do i need to drill the hole for it. thanks in advance
