Hi Guys, I'm now here in the cold windy city (temp was 17 Deg when I got in). What are some good hobby shops for cars, trucks and aircraft to go to here?
Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

Going to have to agree Al's is great!
Associated RC18T-stock
Traxxas E-Maxx-stock
Bandit R/C Racing Team
Spektrum DSM DX-3 System
Whether if your into bashing or into racing, R/C is still an obsession
Go Sox!!!!!

Hit up Al's if you want to stay close to the city, or over in Joliet you will find
http://www.leisurehours.com I personally think that is the best shop in chicagoland.

Alright. Went to Al's. Not bad. Huge layout of stuff. Do they ever race in the parking lot out back?
I have to back up n_s_r though. Venture in Wheeling (or maybe its buffalo grove, can't remember) is pretty good too. They used to run venture raceways, but I dont think thats around anymore.

Venture Raceway has been closed for some time now. It was resold and run under the name RSJ Raceway which is now closed as well.
Overall Al's in Elmhurt and Venture Hobbies in Buffalo Grove are the best around. Unless you live further south then I'd go to Leisure Hours. Other then those three I don't think any are worth going to.
