I am thinking of getting a subscription to one of the RC mags listed above. Which, if any, do you guys subscribe to, read regularly, or buy just because thats what the newsstand had? Why do you like the mag you read?

Subscription with XRC and RCCA. Gonna cancel the RCCA one once my time is up.
XRC is hands down one of the best out there. Also read, RC Driver when I can. edit: I read XRC and RC driver because IMO I think they have the best reviews of products and test data. Rcca seems to be all advertising.

Wow, I didnt even have the poll up before you responded.
EDIT: Nevermind I saw that you voted.

Pretty quick on the keyboard =P
I stickied this. Just to keep it up top for awhile. I actually responded before it had the poll. When I refreshed the page, I saw the poll and voted.

I subscribe to RCCA.

RCCA is fake in my book, to many ads, not enough actual articles...
I'm with XRC and RC Driver also, best mags with the most usable content.

Ops. I voted for the wrong one.
I meant to vote for RC Driver. I am a subscriber. I like the fact that they test a variety of RC and post real top speeds and such. I have had little desire to buy other magazines because they do such a good job.

RCCA is a waste of time unless you like to read adds and horribly biased articles. XRC is actually entertaining and pretty funny to read and RC driver has the best unbiased articles imo but I have no subscriptions to any of them. I just flip through them at the hobby shop once in a while and also surf the RC Zone forum and Sgrid to get all the latest and greatest in the RC world.

Also Past history.. RC driver was started by a group of people that were SICK of RCCA's not allowing them to give negative reviews of anything and having give favorable reviews to all the major Ad sponsors of the magazine even if a product was total crap. Even when UE's stuff was all over the internet and showing up and dominating the early stages of MT racing RCCA Never tested or gave favorable reviews of UE's stuff if it was mentioned.
I remember the one article that was a roundup of Maxx buildup otpions. They mentioned UE but recomened Hardcore racing for everyhitng! Their main complaints about UE in the article... Price(Hardcore racing is just as expensive though) and they calimed UE's shiny finish would be too hard to keep clean?! Well eventually many staff mebers got sick of the crap content and 5 pages of ads for 1 page of content and left the magazine to start RC driver. During that time RCCA kept adding more ads and raising subscription rates and off the shelf prices too. so yeah I jsut don't like RCCA much.

Another nice thing about the staff over at XRC is that you get to talk to them on boards.
Stephen Bess and Derek Buono are regulars on the grid and Bess psots alot on the UE board. UE thread with some interesting answers. Some of you might be able to read it if you have an account there.

I used to subscribe religiously to RCCA. Then I let my subscription expire and didn't bother to renew. Same complaint as most..lots of ads, little content, and the reviews were always positive. No review of a car ever scored less than 7-8 out of 10. I'm sure there are lots of cars out there that deserve a flunking review. Just my 2cents.

C'mon, a Duratrax Nitro quake scoring up there with the T-maxx, Savage, and Ofna? Their love of Hardcore racing products, and all things Traxxas made me wonder if the mag had been secretly bought out altogether.
