The spektrum, replaces the entire module. There is no crystals, think of it as a cordless telephone, it finds an open channel automatically when you turn it on

myjeep, I didn't deal with them. The guy goes by powerhobbyy (notice the 2 yy's), on ebay. I believe he's located in villa park, il (since that's where the radio came from).
I emailed him again today and told him that if I don't hear anything frim him within the next 24 hours, I'm filing complaints with payal and ebay. I'll be fighting to get my money back!

Look closely at his feedback. People have left him negative feedback under a positive mark just so they will get their automatic good feeback from him. It's a common trick with volume sellers who automate everything, including the feedback system.
Since his phone number is listed, I would call hourly until it gets resolved.

Here is what I found on ebay:
User ID: powerhobbyy ( 8952Feedback)
Member for: 3 years 1 month
Location: NY, United States
POWERHOBBY-COM
So I don't think he is local, and the seller do own powerhobby.com

I went back to the auction page to check it out some more. Yes, it is power hobby out of new york. I called them up, and got they gave me a different number to call for the ebay stuff. I called that number and explained to the guy over the phone what had happened. Turns out they just opened a new warehouse here in illinois (villa park). He took my number and said he was going to call me back in 1/2 hour so he could find out what had happened. The was over an hour ago. Still no phone call.
Looks like it's time to call him back...

Well, after trying to reach the new york number several times with no answer, tried the local # the ceme posted. Answered on the first ring, he got my info and said he would call back in 5 minutes (he wanted time to find out what happened). That was a 1/2 hour ago. I even offered to drive to the warehouse and exchange the one I got (it has an fm module in it) with the correct one to save them time and shipping.
Time to get back on the phone again...

Finally. Let's hope they keep their promise. I called the local warehouse again and told them that I haven't received my call back yet. He put me on hold and then came back apologetic and said the new york guys are going to call me right away. I hang up, and sure enough they called within the next minute.
He was very apologetic and admitted that he scewed up and sent me the wrong order. He said he'll ship me out the spektrum system on monday (because the next order for those comes in on monday) next day air so I'll have it tuesday. He also said to just keep the fm module that I have in the radio because they screwed up.
I got my fingers crossed that he holds up his end of the bargain.

Sounds like it could have been an honest mistake. They happen so hopefully you get it now. If you do then it sounds like they did a decent job solving the problem and at least gave you something for accidently screwing you over the first time...

Tune, keep that FM module for back-up. You never know when something can go wrong with the spektrum, shite happens. Did it come with a FM receiver also?

No receiver, only the module.
I understand honest mistakes, but I'm mad over the communication with them. It wasn't as good as it should be.

OK, I got a Airtronics syth RX laying around. If you had a syth module, I'd give that to you for the weekend so you can use that M11.
