Ok, I've seen a few of you make a mention of the worst things that you bought for your cars or trucks. Well this is the thread to air it all out so others dont make that same mistake.
The worst things i bought for my sprotmaxx was a cvec pipe for the trx 2.5. The truck never ran right after i installed it. Then I had to have the motor rebuilt, another waste of money. After a year of screwing around, i ditched the pipe and motor for a mac pipe and fantom motor, so far so good.

MIP curved pipe for the stock 2.5. Made the engine near impossible to tune.
Steel spur (without upgrading the clutchbell) very quickly turned the clutchbell into a sawblade.

yeah the NMT was one of the worst.. soo bad I got 2 more of them from friends for free and I ended up giving them away afterwards.
the most Useless hopups I've seen has to be the trinity Al Gas cap and Nitrous oxide systems for nitro engines.

Aluminum gas tank(leaked and inconsistant tune), dynamite fuel filter (un-tunable, lean one second rich another, newguy can back me up), anything hotbodies.
I have bought so many useless hopups that sucked and sucked my wallet dry that I can't even think of none. That's how many there was.
I calculated what I spent including my maxx in the first two years of owning it. I came up with $1500, and all I had that was decent was a motor and tires. After fully scoping out the UE stuff I know not to buy anything else except UE or "supermaxx approved" product.

I'll back you up on the UE stuff, its the worst bug of them all to get bitten by.
I have not been in it long enough to have too many horror stories about hop-ups, I just keep upgrading the truck with parts that cause others to break so its not so much bad hop-ups as it is costly ones that keep sucking you in deeper and deeper and makes your wallet emptier and emptier.

Ok, I'll leave your spelling alone, but keep in mind, my 11 yr old son reads these boards. I'd appreciate a little respect in that aspect. Thanks... BTW, that wasn't the first objectional comment, or language you've used....

Cheap aluminum shocks on Ebay ( o.k they were not "cheap" $$ wise but, rather cheaply made)! I have bags of them! lol I will never use anything other then Big Bores or UE Super Shocks. I will 2nd the New Era .21 conversion kit although I am using the chassis to put together a Maxx for my Son out of all my spar parts. Any FOC other then UE's Super 4 or 6! Tires with no purpose, meaning if they only work o.k on grass then I wasted my money! I like the Traxxas Sporttraxx tires. Bodies! Although I love painting bodies you can only use so many at one time! I think 10 new painted bodies is to many when the one on your truck is in great shape! lol Oh buying a whole T-maxx just for the tranny, diffs and A-arms! :o I think that's all I can remember for now but, I know there are many many more I have boxes to prove it!

from what i saw, brians mt would do nothing but cartwheels at the bmx track. Then again, if it is so bad....why did they come out with a 2nd version of it? The car mags always sing praises about it right?
worst mod. mr tune soldering a deans connector for my batteries. He did a great job on all but one. which cought on fire when i plugged it into my txt-1 in basement. and frying a $130 lrp f1 pro reverse ESC that is still waiting for him to see if he can fix it with his electrical wizardry.

Aluminum bumper mounts on the T-Maxx suck. They just break screws and tear up bulkheads.
