well i was reading RC DRIVER the new issue that just i got today...good english... but ya and it said that you can take a cordless drill then cuta hockey puck in half then like attach it to a screw and get some lock washers and like u can use that as a bump start i gotta say it sounds interesting and you could even use a corded drill if u wanted to, but first i thoght i would gauge interest or wut not here...if any body has RC DRIVER the newest one its in there. i just thought even if it works ok thats a cool idea and worth a shot maybe....i can get more info tmo when i get my magazine outta the car im just too lazy to go get it now. but ya if anybody else saw that please give your .02 on this almost ingenious idea.

hmm sounds like it would be tough to line up the flywheel and the puck to get a good bump

Just the effort to do a good job cutting a hockey puck in half would be enough for me to just buy one. It would be cheaper than the hospital bill when you slice your finger off! Maybe if you just bevel the edges of a puck, and then mount the whole puck+drill thing to a jig, you might be able to start something with it? dunno.

ya i gotta say i was interested...what it says is put it in a vice which makes sense....so i mioght try this if i can diig up a hockey puck sometime today...what im thinking is useing one of thoise blue training pucks that are lighter so theyre prolly less dense so they would be easier to cut....and u can prolly get em going faster on the drill cuz less weight to rotate....worth a shot.
