it fits better than perfect with the mod, without the mod the module is a little tight on the back side since the antenna ppushes there, but it still fits.
I can help you do the mod, or one of the mags just did a how to on it, I think it was xtreme rc

i have the dx3 radio not the m8. i'm just wondering if it will fit. i think it's smaller in size then the m8

I would say no it wont fit, it is molded foam to the m8. You should be able to get a jr xs/xr case
