do you meen length or diamiter?
if you upgrade your motor then you want to get a pipr with a wider stinger. Glen just found this out. when he put the sirio 18 in his maxx he was using a mac pipe for a 2.5. after a year of telling him to switch the pipe, he finaly listened and the motor realy came to life.
if your staying stock motor, a tuned pipe will be best. its the inside baffles that change the power band

When I ran ST I had one pipe with a single stinger and one with two. I could tell that there was more power out of the one with two but it isn't roar legal to race with...

I know not exact but there are some that are close. You would be surprised how little you need to enlarge a hole to make it equal the volume of both combined...

plus the cvec pipes have baffles that move when the RPM of the motor changes. Meaning the pipes baffle gives you more lowend then when the motor reaches a certain RPM it moves the baffle in the pipe to give you more top end. That's why they are illegal, not because they have two stingers

Yeah.. I guarantee that I could bore out a pipes stinger to give the volume of two and then braze in another stinger portion. It would be bigger... and not legal. Therefore not worth the time...

No way i guarantee u couldnt do it, to give the volume of 2 stingers thats impossible since the stinger is not thick enough on any pipe to bore it out that far

Oh... we are talking 2 different things. You are talking about just boring the existing stinger. In that aspect you are totally right. I was saying to basically eliminate the stock one, bore it out, and then fashion a custom one to it if you needed one stinger the size of 2.

You are best having 2 for bashing if you w little extra punch and a single for racing so that you are legal. You may be able to get away with boring it out a little bit but the gains would be minimal...

ok im glad we got that cleared up LOL...if you guys are looking for more punch on a .21 with and inline pipe try a waller adapter it makes a world of difference

what is a waller adapter?

it is an extension that fits between the pipe and the header on one piece pipes, it comes as a set with 3 longer springs. its like running an extra long header and it gives a significant low end power increase, u could probably find one on any online hobby shop
