mixed nitro fuel

hey has anyone tried this or do you know if mixing two different brands of nitro fuel would increase power or ruin my engine?

if so what brands should I mix for my trx 2.5 (stock t-maxx engine)

i dont think that u r supposed to do it because of the different amonts of oil content, but im not sure, can anyone back this up?

SixVi6-Camaro has done it! and he didn't have any problems. just had to retune the motor. i think he mixed traxxas top fuel and whatever tony was running then? actually he took second in the buggy mains in st. louis with the mix!

it wont hurt anything as long as u mix same nitro contents, mixing 20-30 will give u somewhere in b/w

yep you can mix fuels no problem, just retune (if needed)

Mixing the fuels or changing fuels won't hurt anything. For a while I used Monster HP 20% and Odonels 30% mix. I could not stand the smell of odonels so I mixed them and ended up liking the mix in my xtm .247 that I used to run. Like everyone said you may or may not have to retune the engine when you change fuels other than that no problems.

so when I mix the fuel should I mix 20% top fuel and 20% trinity or 33% top fuel and 20% trinity?

ya but you wont be gaining anything power wise IMO but it wont hurt

Yeah... tony was running a mix of a few fuels last time. Had kind of a pewky color to it but it didn't smell bad and that thing ran like a bat out of hell...

I have red alert 10% and top fuel 20% should I mix those. also this is an engine that was broken in with 20% and driven with 20%

would mixing a lower percentage fuel mess up the motor?

it shouldn't, but i'm not a perfesionall! six ran o'donnels and top fuel/ tony ran odonnels mixed with trinity monster brew. mixing those to should hurt the motor you just have to re-tune it for the different oil content/ nitro content

also I bought a duratrax truck a long time ago and had to return the truck and they wouldnt let me return the fuel though
