LMAO.... Once I got the track dialed I started turning pretty quick laps for a while. The problem is on bug jumps I lose 3/4 of my body right now. lol (Matt shoot me a pic of the body you were telling me about... and Mike I will probably be contaqcting you soon for a body.) I will try to get there one more time this week... I don't know. I want to get a decent body, lean out the motor a little more (adjust the servo so I can get all of my throttle) make the shift point earlier, and get my new radio going. Then I will be back and a bit more serious. (No more backflip atempts on the first big jump for the camera lol) I will also probably shave my boxes... especially if I can get a nice steering servo for cheaps...
Laterz...

Well it looks like all had a good time. Good pics Rob.
So how is the ventilation in the new building? Is it 100% operational and were the fumes minimal?
How about the heat, was the track area warm?

For the heat if you were standing under one of the heaters or were standing in the drivers stand it was warm.
For the fumes, I don't know how the old track or any other track was, but it was pretty smoky in there. No dust, but sometimes you got chunks of clay flung at you.

When there were 20+ trucks/buggies running, it got kinda smokey, but when it slowed down a bit, it cleared up quick. The higher ceiling and ventilation helped a lot. During racing, it won't get too bad, because they said the computer will only read 12 at one time. When there were 10-15 running, the fumes were pretty tame.
The radient heater above the drivers stand runs the full length, and keeps it pretty warm. Even standing trackside, you could feel the warmth from the heaters.

Yeah, the heat was jammin'. Very nice touch! Just need some lights under the stand. I couldn't see my carb to adjust the idle needle.

I was at the old track so...
When there were over 20 people on the track the fumes got about as bad as the old place and it occasionally got a little teary on the drivers stand. However, like stated earlier when there were 10-15 it cleared out fast and was perfectly fine. The drivers stand and pit area were both fairly warm, a huge difference from the old track. It wasn't even bad out on the track once you started running to flip RC's. The work room is very nice. It is very well lit and has electric at at least 2/3 of the tables. Everything is reall easy to see and not cold. I can't wait for the shop to get uo and running. (And Yes... using my dad's temp gun we hit the heat overhead at over 800* Toasty)
Thuirsday I cant go... I am working. However Wednesday may be an option. Not sure though. I ma not end up back out there untill next week.
And Bernie... it is going to be $8 all the time correct? Even when the hours are shorter after the holidays? And is there any thought of doing a season pass type deal???

That's cool. Just don't plan when you will go around me. I won't be able to make it Wednesday either but may be there next monday or sometime next week. I am going to start requesting Sunday's off to race. :joy:

me too, I hope sundays are the permanent day for racing besides trophy races and stuff. I have a much better chance of getting sundays off for good, than saturdays off every 2 or 3 weeks.

I believe it will be. When I talk to bernie, he mentioned that because alot of guys are running both 1/8 scale and unlimited or monster truck. It makes sense to race them all on sunday. This way, the electric racers can now race on saturday's instead of friday nights.

Sunday Nitro would be the S*&^ I would be able to go every Sunday and one practice day during the week. And the electric guys would still have a weekened day too. Thats going to rock.
