Attn servo return/exchange experts...
#1
Ok....so I accidentally left my truck turned on after one of my heats at the last DD race, so... the whole time I was out marshaling, needless to say with my spektrum fail-safe activated, it burned up the throttle/brake servo.
Its an Airtronics 94357 servo that's less a year old, its froze up solid and I need to get it replaced or fixed soon.

Anyone know what I can do? Do I have to send it back to Airtronics? Or will Leisure Hours take care of it for me since I bought it there?

I probably should have taken care of this sooner, now I may be pressed for time before the big race on the 14th Sad

Send it to Airtronics. 2-3 week turn around. Your looking around 45 bucks for repair.

Leisure won't do jack. Email the company and see if they'll do a repair/exchange.

Thanks for the info guys....looks like I'll just have to buy a new one then.
Then I'll send my old servo back for fixing/replacing which can be my back-up servo....
Oh well, just more money I need to dish out, and to think I was finaly going to get a personal transponder before the race, but not now Sad

I would not give up yet. I would look up their email address and write them to explain the problem and ank if they will fix it. They may just repair it out of goodwill. I have had HPI, and Novak make goodwill repairs and replacements - including my expensive 5800 BL system - for free.

Include a description of the problem. if you got to the airtronics site, you'll see the info needed when sending in a servo for repair.

Spektrums have a failsafe built in, but I always set mine to neutral.

Oh man, I've had that happen. When the Tx is turned off, the Rx puts the servo to full brakes. This is murder on servos. I burned up a brand new Hitec servo the exact same way. Now, since I use the spektrum, I use a light throttle return spring and set fail-safe to neutral.
