I smoked a turbo honda with 10k under the hood. They are not worth it. I also toasted one of the older single turbo Supras. It was loud but loud doesn't win races...

well all i can say either the person just added 10 k worth of stuff o the honda and never took it to a dyno to get it tuned or they just couldnt drive, becuase i dust my buddies VW VR6 golf on a regular basis, but i love his golf, it launches like a monster becuase its all wheel drive, and its a sleeper, they are a lot faster than they look. but you golf looks sweet very clean nice look no decals or crazy graphics or anything, for those who dont know, vw vr6 golf is the same as a audi s4 quattro, in germany these kick anal cavity on the autobahn.

Are you talking abour R32? Only R32s have AWD and 3.2L V6 that pumps out 240HP stock. Regular VR6 are FWD and have 200hp (24V versions).

Anyway, myself I have 2003 VW Beetle Turbo S with 1.8T and 6 speed manual completely stock besides Alpine head unit. I had it for 4 months only, though.

speaking of 1:1's.. The freakish warm weather has brought out a new problem.. a slipping trans in my camaro. Kinda sucks but I got enough money saved to get a new trans in fact I have enough go with a nice built high performance trans and a converter.. hmmm.

I might just take it to Speed inc for an Evil Trans and see what that'll cost installed. I might even call up a few other shops and see what it will cost for a built tranny and a stall.

Thanks man!.. but no used parts for me. Its a camaro anyhow and 98% of all modern camaro and firebirds end up in Camaro specific salvage yards. ITs very rare to find one in a normal yard.

I really figured on the trans going to die so I tucked money away just for that. The Hot Rod Power tour was especially brutal on the trans.. lol.

lol, my dad owns that, last time i looked he had about 4-5 camaros in the back, i never looked to see if they still had the trans in there, either they already sold or they already had it pulled out and on the shelf.

Well here is my 2002 Ford Explorer Sport 4WD, I used to be anti-Ford until I drove this truck. See I my first car was 88 Ford Tempo GL and it was the biggest piece of crap on earth, it stalled when you truned left, the air conditoning and heat didn't work (and couldn't be repaired). I had to replace the tie rods 3 times. (but what do you want for $800)But I test drove this truck and was pleasantly suprised. Also the dealer joke with me that the Tempo was the Pinto of the late 80's. But I haven't done anything to the Explorer mod wise yet. But I just got it in Sept. I plan on adding fog lights, brushguard, nerf bars, K&N intake, and a new stereo system. This is definatley a big change from my 2000 Eclipse GT.

Tommy and Ryan... if you guys are up for some 4X4ing let me know... I have a few friends who go ALL the time. There are a few good local spots that have everything from "stock Jeep" territory to "Come full out my lifted truck with 42's" There are usually a few people who can help you out if you get stuck too. Tons of fun...

The place is in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin its a 4x4 park owned by the raceway. It costs about $350 to rent the park for the day so I tend to get a few fourwheeling clubs rounded up to drop the price to $20 a truck. The place is very newbie friendly unlike the IL parks. Let me know if you guys want to go sometime I can setup the run. :wavey:

Down!!! Like i said i just picked up my first 4x4. Bone stock so nothing extreme, but i'm thinking of doing a suspension lift/body lift in the summer.

my buddy has a truck that he loves taking 4x4..93 f2-50 turbo diesal with a 8 in suspension lift and a 3 inch body lift..its huge and gets down on the trails..
