It's all good. I'm running the GS wing mount for now. The Mugen looks a little more durable. I can get one another time.
Also, when you buy a wing, BEFORE you run with it on the truck, put it in a pot of boiling water for 10-15 minutes. It softens the wing a little, making it more flexable. Less chance of it breaking on a bad landing.

Thanks and thanks....I have been watching - bidding wing mounts on ebay and it's stupid how much people run those up to. I know I could go to the store and buy one but I never have the time to get there (long winded excuse). Thanks for the boiling tip.

does the wing mount include the wing mount stay and the mount braces? Meaning it ready for a wing to be installed?

Yep, just needs a wing. From what I remember reading, there are 2 screws that need to be replaced with longer ones to properly fit on a Revo. I'm sure most people who use this wing mount on a Revo will know what screws I'm talking about.

I think at Leisure Hours it was $12 for the mount, and $10 for the wing. Overall, you would only save a couple dollars..

Would I be wise to tri to get one on before the race or would I be better off with the weight savings??? Especially since I would not know whow to drive/tune the suspension with the new balance point...

it's not that big of a deal man...at all. it doesn't way that much, you wouldn't notice the weight difference and you wouldn't have to re-do your setup

Eh screw it then... I can destroy another body. saves me the headache of going to the shop and all before the race tomorrow. I will run as I am and get one when I get my new body. That way I can just set it up nice once...

The wing really doesn't do anything to the weight or balance, so your setups would be fine. It mostly helps save the body. It may be me, but it also seems to help level the truck off the jumps. Maybe I was just taking the jumps better... lol

I could have used that today... enjoy it. My body is currently held together with about 7 zip tie stiches. I think it is time to quit talking about it and have mike actually paint a body that I will get a wing to keep nice and neat... now for the money...
