Well after a night at the track I realized that before tires or a motor I need to have some quicker, crisper, steering. I will be doing the single steering servo conversion on my Revo so I need a HIGH Tourque and fairly HIGH Speed servo. I know it will be expensive so I am not looking to "get buy" with a $40 servo. I want to be able to turn this sucker. Let me know what you have and what you can let it go for and I will get back to you. Also... if you can let me know the speed and torque of it because I am not an expert when it comes to servos by any means. I would hate to mislead myself by finding the wrong info when searching.
Thanks so much,
Dan

Thanks Revo... put it this way... there were 12 guys running and I was running 6th before motor problems. Also keep in mind that I had to win the B-main to get there. (Also keep in mind that I am stock with the exception of the pipe and P2 setup. I was running with some very worked trucks. It's all consistancy...) Comments now?? Because I know I was beating you on the track and would put money on a race with you or your team any day. Hehehe...

Alright then! Lets settle this now! I'll pm bernie and setup a private race!!! lol anyway good job on winning...I feel bad for the 2 people that didn't get trophys though....That must've sucked....hehehe.....You should pick up some new tires as well....And cut down your boxes.
And hey, if we had more than one kid marshalling that night, I would have won since you kinda took a few short cuts.....Oh now I get how you won!!!!You took shortcuts!!! :bustingup Sure, just jump the barrier on the first double and end up at the second table top 3/4 of a lap ahead of everybody! Hah! You've been foiled! :bustingup

The stock tires hooked up very well. The short of all of this. It was my first race and I am happy that I made A-main and got ANY trophy. I would however, have placed higher if it weren't for engine troubles. That happens though and in the end I am a racer now more than a basher. After the winter bash my boxes will be cut, the Ti skid may be sold, and possibly the pipe depending on what motor I get.
Now if we can get back on task I am first working on getting a better servo. (And is it reccomended that I get the aluminum single servo arm or will the stock one shaved work ok?? Is it rigid enough??

I used the stock steering assebly and it lasted about one race...lol
Go for the proline single arm, the heavy duty traxxas spring and the RDRacing bottom brace (goes under saver in the bellcrank system)

Awesome. Thanks. I will try to get this all set up for my next track run so Ican see the difference. (That is another thing I have learned. Do one mod at a time to see exactly what makes the truck better or worse. Rather than having to guess and check later...)

Nice man. I hope to be running with you soon. Hopefully if the next paycheck is decent I will have a motor. If not... within the next month. I never thought racing would be so much fun. I am heading to al's to get somemisc. parts to finish up my wing mount and get everything back together.
(They didn't have the Mugen mount and it was backordered. They did have the new Tektro mount though... I didn't like it and it was about $20. So... I got a hotbodies LSP wing mount with all of the hardware for $6 and it looks like it will fit great. A little bit of dremeling and removed the back bumper to make it nicer but all is well... can't beat the price either.)

I'm confused...
Ryan... I will either be going the cheap route and getting an XTM .18 (less likely) since for about $60 you are supposed to getting a nice, reliable motor that has noticibly more power than the 2.5 but not quite as much as the OS .18 TM. Or... the RB .23. I am leaning towards that because it has a LOT of power and comes with the pipe for a little more than the price of the TM. Plus it will have plenty of power for the outdoor tracks. I may pick up an XTM as a backup motor...
(And yeah... I'm definitely a racer first now and a basher second. In fact I am considering buying an LSP roller off of someone that upgrades to the Kyosho Truggy when it comes out... )

Linky!!!
It is supposed to be pretty nice. I figured for that price being better than the 2.5 it will be a good backup. I still plan on having the RB as my main motor...

Thats the engine Jesse wolkenhiem was running (converted to a Non/ps) Looked fast he said for the cash it was realy good. He too was tired of the TM and its short life span.
I run xtm engines in my MT and i love them powerful, easy to tune and reliable.
Dont mess wit my sig Line tune!
