It was a lot of fun Sunday, I got to meet Tex and see Chris again, and it took awhile before I realized the girl I was talking to was from St. Louis. To bad her truck wasen't running it would have been cool to see her out there racing. She said she's taken trophies home before.
Sorry for that one guy (forget your screen name) that did not get his transponder during that first qualifier, hopefully next time will go better.

not sure what guy your talking about but the lake were sitting about 10 feet from me. The guy sitting directly next to me was RamMaxxSTL from the showme board and he raced his Mugen 1/8 buggy.

Oh, I knew he was from St. Louis, I thought you may have been talking about him.

Next time I see ya at the track rc dad, I'm helping you with your alignment (toe/camber) and I'm putting a set of my tires on your truck for you to try for a heat (or the whole day)
You would do sooooo much better with a truck that was setup right. Right now you can't help but be all over the place because of your settings. We'll fix that.

Thanks, hopefully my truggy will be ready next time we meet. It has dirt bonez. I was hoping to catch Tune at the track some day, I think the Savage could use some of his expertise.

If you want the scoop on racing a savy, talk to rocco.... super nice dude and will help you with anything you need. As far as general setup, I can help with that.

Like I said early had a ball.
I just wish they ran all the lowers first then the a mains. Reason being I came in second in the B main, so I won a bump spot. But I had to contiinue running because the A was right afterwards, so I came into the pits and to refuel to start the next race and my truck died, the clutch was toasted. Now I know its my fault the clutch toasted, but you feel good that you got the bump up the A and then you cant run, because you had no time to check things over. Like I said this is not a complaint just an observation. Next time I will just qualify for the A main. LOL

cemeb4dk Wrote:Like I said early had a ball. A good observation, too. I wondered the same thing the one and only time we raced. The A qualifiers are all tuned up and batt's charged and here come the bump-ups limping right into another race. I guess it's gas it up and pray they all crash or break.

a good battery pack and you can go all day running non stop for only 25 bucks. I gots me a 2600mah battery and i charge it after about 3 races. Im also using airtronics servo's so there not digital and im sure that helps me some as well.
01-30-2006, 11:55 AM
Its not a matter of batteries or anything like that my batteries can go all day. Its just the litle things, look for loose screws, chekc the clutch etc.

Me it's battery and damned pivot ball caps (Revo). I really need to setscrew those before next time.
01-30-2006, 12:39 PM
Yeah that sucked George. YOu looked good out there.

I got clipped at the end of the 2nd qualifier and my upper a-arm broke at the adjustment. I ordered some FLM arms this morning.
01-30-2006, 01:09 PM
The only truck I ever recognize is UEMaxx for some reason. I'll get better at recognizing you guys. It took me awhile to realize Chris was Chris

That blows George. I agree all c's and b's should run first.

i drive the greevo, I was the guy who had a horrible 3rd gualifier and I qualified 2nd overall before the mains. Look for the green revo next time at the track cuz il be driving it along with a hellfire now.
01-30-2006, 02:06 PM
usually at bigger races the mains alternate truck, bug, truck, bug.
01-30-2006, 02:10 PM
during big race days theres usually tons of time to get your stuff in order for all your races. I know at the pro series round 2 there was like 2 and a half hours between each qualifiers and like an hour between c main and b main and then a main so bigger races give you lots more time to get your stuff check out and fixed if necessary.
