As much as I hate to help this thread a long... (does anyone else think this is a little nuts? Might as well delete all the other posts in this forum)
Anyway.. I'll be out at LeisureHours this Wednesday (Feb 1st). I know Chris will be out there.. anyone else? I'm going to try and get the matrix running at a decent temp... build a battery pack or 2, and actually interested to see how many 1/18th's there will be. Bummer they are going to get their own night.. I'd really like the ability to do both.
So chime in if you might be out there... Make sure to stop by and say hi!

Ill be there on wends with mt rc18 and losi xxxnt. And let me add that Tune drives his TrailBlazer down the highway like hes in his HellFire. I made it to 355 and north in a half hour following him. I think we also had a conga line of speedsters racing for the lead...LOL
Keep it on the track bud...LOL

Sweet.. make sure to say hi! I'll have the Big Squid RC hat on.
BTW: I like Gabe's route almost.. seems like you have to drive like 5 miles past the place, then 5 miles back to get to it.. anyone else found a better route? Seems like maybe taking route 6 might have a better way??

I live in Oak Lawn and it took me a little less than 45 minutes.
Oak Park, 167th, West to Harlem, South on Harlem, to 80 West, to 53 South, West Laraway, to Patterson, to Schweitzer.
On 53 south, you can actually turn on Patterson and not go on Laraway, but Patterson seems like it is an unfinished road. It's like gravel.

Gabe's route is best if you live due north or to the west of the track.

not sure if I read you partner?
I could go down Weber (turns into Larkin) then take a left on rt.6 from my house but I take I55 to Arsenal Rd.....Seems faster.

yea.. I was just looking it up on mapquest.. the route 6 thing seems a little far east to try and take from 55. It just seems like when taking 55.. you have to go so far past the track, and then kinda backtrack down all the side roads.. but that does look the fastest from 55. (I usually stop at the hobby shop on my way out).
No biggie about the post thing.. just giving you a hard time (Gabe). I was just saying 99.9% of the posts in this forum are now in this thread. Where it seems like posting a 'who's going Wednesday' would be better off in it's own thread.. it's no big deal.

Any chance you'll be out there Gabe?

A bunch of us went to hooters in downers grove once right after leisure. snakebite went the arsenal way, and gabe and myself went the other way (via I-80). we got beat by at least 5 minutes! Arsenal is longer mileage, but faster time. Less lights and city traffic.
I'll be up there on wednesday too, testing out the hellfire .
Kevin, I was only going a hair over 80 . Get's me home in 45 minutes :p:

Is anybody going to tuesday for electric practice? I'm going to try to get out there and break in the T4, and check out the new digs.

I'm such an idoit. I was on my way to LHR last night, got half way there..then looked in my passenger side and noticed somthing missing. I pulled over and sure enough I left my T4 on the workbench. I called home and asked "if my truck was sitting on the workbench?" and my Mother said, "yup, were'nt you suppose to bring that too?". So it was already 8 so I decide to head home. I should still gone and watched practice, but looks like my T4 debute will have to be on Saturday.

So I went out to LHR for the first time last night. I had a blast. My RC10GT didnt run to good, I have lots of bugs I need to work out. But I met some very cool helpful people. I'd like to thank Mr.Tune and MXKevin for all their advice, very helpful, thanks guys! I had the most fun shagging trucks on the track. For awhile there I was the only guy out there! But thats ok I had fun.
