Hi all, New guy here and I have a few questions for Saterday MT Racing.
Whats the latest I can get there and still have time to get rdy. 5PM?. What time do most of you show up?
What happens if your truck dies or runs out of gas? Are you able to restart or are you done for that heet.
And if you do break down, am I able to run another truck? I have 3 trucks, would like to race the revo but arms and rod/shock ends seem to break easily. My next choice would be the savage. I think if I couldnt change I would have to run the savage from the start because, well it just wont break.
Thanks for the timeand see you all on wends/thurs.

if you die or run outa gas you can restart it and go if you have enough time. you cant substitute during a heat or race but he may let you inbetween heats. And i wouldnt bother racing the savage imo because its to much of a basher to be able to race good. The one race i went to it was all revo's in the top spots followed but a supermaxx and then some big blocks. Make sure you get the new updated shock ends or you can get some aluminum ends at neweramodels.com. If your breaking a-arms i would say stop hitting stuff with them lol jk. 5 is when im gonna show up this saturday. Definatly no later then 5. Most people will be getting there around 3-4 to set up and get some last minute practicing in. Hope to see you there.

How can you say a Savage is not a good racer ? When set-up right, I'm sure a Savage will out-run your Revo. I've seen some Savages run at Leisures track and do pretty damn good. Jeez man have an open mind.

well ive never seen a savage actually racing so im just saying that from what ive seen. Im sure the savage can race but i have yet to see one actually get around the track really fast. I hope people bring out the savages and have them set up right. The more people there the better tho. and i have an open mind because theres nothing in it, sheesh lol.

I've seen a few fast savages, my own included.
All the revo owners better look out when the rebuild is done on my truck

hehe. There is a guy "duwayne" (sp?) that always practices on saturdays with his Savages (and other RC's) . I am sooo glad he doesn't race us with his Savy, he would kill us. He gets around that track like wiping his own ass, it's easy for him. He would absoloutly beat all of us. I asked him why he doesn't race and he said " I don't know, just don't want to" he leaves right before the heats start. We definitely benefit from him leaving, he would spank us.
At Camp Maxx in STL a guy name Kit (LakeMaxx on showmerc) wins every BB MT race......with a Savage.
If I had a Revo, Savage and whatever else MT I would race the Revo most likely. That truck make bad drivers look decent. (IMO)

I think my Savage can get around the track pretty good... I haven't been racing on saturday's because I work but if I could I would be there every saturday to race. Maybe we should set something up on dec 6. We can have some REVO and Savages go head to head.

I'd like to see Mich go against a Savage and see what would happen since hes the one thats constantly comparing Revo's and any other traxxas porduct to the Savage.

I wish duwayne would race because by racing people better then you it is actually the best practice IMO. I bet by the end of the racing season we would all be a lot better just from racing him. il go against anything but il probly loose because i havent been driving as long as most people. I really dont care but ya i say december 6th we can do something like that. its all for fun with me .

Sounds cool. We did that last year as our clubs first event was open to everyone and we gave away about $800 worth of raflles. We are planning another one tha last weekend in January on Saturday. This will be an open event as it stands now.
You guys should have fun, we should still try and set up some club vs club stuff fo rfun and the loser pays for the pizzas...

Mich's Revo against a Savage???? Looks like I need to get some practice in, but I'm up for that. And I've been driving a lot less than he has, so that's not an issue.

DirtDawg, This is just a club "meeting" on the 6th so to speak. We are a whole different kind of club than most others. As in no membership fees and we don't do some of the other stuff "normal" clubs do. (like raffles)
We are here for a sort of fellowship for RCers and just to help Noobs out and get people in the hobby (or thats how it's worked out for the most part).
I would think that if you (George) wanted to come out on the 6th, that would be cool.
Of course anyone on this board is welcome as (I inparticular) treat everyone as CSRC members if they don't rep another club. Also if you talk on the boards or meet up regularly your in CSRC in my mind.

sure mich wants 15min races........just long enough for all of the bigblock boys to run out of fuel while his 2.5 is still goin.
Sounds like a good time if we can all get together and race. I'm sure most people have a lot going on before x-mas like I do so if thats when we do it, it may be difficult for some of us to go. We have all winter long to do this thing so I say after the holidays, but again thats just me. I'm still up for the 6th but after that it gets pretty touch and go for me.

I run about 12-13 mins of bashin, 15 may just push me out.
But we'll be far enough ahead that I can just shut it down for the last 2 mins of the race.

my 2.5 will not last 15 minutes. Il have to pit at like the 7 minute mark. I doubt i could last 10 minutes but i dont really no off hand. We can go 20 minutes to if you like then il have to pit twice while you guys pit once? Do you really think im that good thats gonna come down to a pit stop in order to see who wins. Im not that good but ya this seems like it would be a blast.

yeah your savages run a 140oz tank right. Mines either a 100oz or 125oz, guess I better start using my timer to figure out the actual run time. Pitting would be awesome if we just pit boss each other.

128 oz. is a gallon.... I know you meant cc's.
The Savages have a 160cc tank, the stock Maxx tank is 125cc, Not sure about the mod ofna tanks that Chitown(Snakebite) and Tex have on their Maxx's. The LST has a massive 171cc tank....
and as long as Tex doesn't "Short tank" someone while he's pitting j/k, timing your tank is a good idea...
When we were in St Louis, Tex pitted for LakeMaxx from the showme boards. Lake is a pretty good racer, and has his runtimes down. When Tex filled him in the pits, he short tanked him slightly, not intentionally. When Tex told him to pit, he shouted down that he still had a couple laps left.... Luckily, he came into the pits just in time to stay running.
