I don't really know why it matters if people know how old you are, we have people on here of all ages, from younger children to teens to full grown adults that are what? in their 50's? It doesn't matter what age you are, around here you get respected, I know its not like that on other forums, thats why I like this one alot more than others.

Its supposed to rain every day so I don't know if I will have a chance to test them or "break them in" before I go to the track on Sunday. 1/8 clutches are so much easier to work on, and have so many more options than 1/10 clutches.

with aluminum clutch shoes you need to do maintenaince every so often. You have to take the shoes off and de-burr them on a as needed basis. They will last gallons that way. without maint. you risk messing up flywheels, clutchbells, not to mention greatly reduce the life of your clutch.
I figured you knew all this already but looking at your old shoes they don't look like you ever de-burred them.

stupid question........what does de-burr do and why do you do it?

De-burr is to like take a razor blade and cut off the alu that has squished over the edge of the clutch shoe so that it doesn't rub on the flywheel or clutch bell.

see the 'mushroom' effect in the pics above? you need to cut that off or "de-burr" the shoes.
