Not my day yesterday...
#1
Stripped a servo arm in the 1st qualifier, got knocked down flat marshalling the tripple, snapped a shock rod in the 2nd qualifier, finnaly in the 3rd qualifier my engine decides it doesn't feel like running anymore.

Best part of the day was the 6 pack I picked up on the way home.

He got hit by a airborn truck while marshalling the tripple. I saw it happen. He puts his hand up to warn the drivers that he's about to marshall a truck by the tripple in hopes they see it when going down the back straights. Some slow down, some don't. He got hit by the latter.

I was even tried to help him out since I was at the beginning of the tripple marshalling by down a slow down motion right at the beginning of the jump when I saw him going out to marshall a truck. Some people just don't care, even when there are 2 people giving you a warning about the tripple, they gun it to make that jump no matter the circumstance. Sad

rcdad, hope you're allright. Looked like you took a shot in the hip or side of the leg.

My leg is pretty sore today but otherwise I'm OK, the guy actually came up and apologized later saying he was so focused on his truck he did not see anything else. I thought I was pretty smart about the way I marshalled the tripple, trying to wait till most everyone was past and then signalling (waving arms in the air) so upcoming drivers would see me but..... thanks for your help Tune, I think it helps a lot of the guy on the far end also signals drivers as their making the turn at the end of the strait.

A few of us actually got together and determined not to let Beth run out into the tripple to grab cars anymore.

I don't think my broken parts were the cause of high jumping, if you've ever seen my truck on the track it barely gets a few inches off the ground, I think it's just....one of those days Smile

Sorry for those of you who could not make it.

Ouch....Oh well we all get hit once or twice. My time was at the old track, I got a full aluminum T-Maxx with a .26 in it into my leg off of the big tabletop they had (it was one of the last layouts before they closed where there was a huge triple right infront of the drivers stand where you could almost grab your truck outta the air) I barely limped out (I could hardly walk), got a huge bruise on my thigh where it hit, and I had to go to the chiropractor just to get my back feeling a little better.

So did you get a bruise or?

Was that the huge jump right in front (at the old track)? I remember my first time out newguy and (snakebite?) were like, "Get the hell away from that jump" warning me Smile

I diden't see any huge bruse, I do a lot of walking so maybe that helps.

On the lighter side, I was shocked to see the Vette that honda was sporting out in the parking lot, he must have some dough, he spent quite awhile explaining his RC boat to me.

Beth is that young girl who drives the Rustler, she's been known to have trucks buzz her head several times.

She's in a video I took of the tripple not long ago.

Honda is a character. I had to stop him from throwing his hammer at the drywall wall and fix his LSP. LoL

I had a bad day too. Motor was tuned fine but lost a pipe in the first qualifier, my transponder missed a lap or two in the second, and the screws came out of my front knuckles the third. I went out to race the main and it glitched into the wall and broke the left front c hub. All in all I somehow managed to walk away with another motor. LoL Expensive day.

I was most upset that I could not find my shock spring I looked and looked and asked the guy in the store, I guess someone has an extra spring. I bought a new metal servo arm that I really like, I bet that sucker won't strip.

Since I bought a mount that works with the Force 26 I'm going to try it instead of the 21bb.

Yeah the pipe was kind of dangling off of the back. LoL

RC Dad... those metal servo arms are the best. I will never use anything else. (at least on steering)

+1 on the metal for the steering. regular old plastic seems to work just fine on throttle.

I'd rather the $2 parts stripped versus the $122 ones.

Is honda like an older guy with white/gray hair? I know you guys say he has a Warhead, but I wasn't sure what he had, but one time he was dropping his truck from like 6ft and just throwing it and saying that is how you "break" the shocks in. LOL

He was also talking about a boat too.

I asked him about the warhead. He just threw that engine in the trash that he beat with a hammer and got rid of the warhead.

He sure was excited about that boat, he explained how the water cooling worked and all. I was trying to hear when the next race started.

RCdad did u see my cool wreck in practice lol first time i ever broke so much chit in one landing lol i think it was u marshalling by the tripple

I can almost always see u when u got ur hand up marshalling over there, alot of guys dont understand the "look 10 ft ahead of you" theory...it would make for better drivers too Smile

Honda's antics might've been cute at first but I am afraid to be on the track when he is. He can't drive and is a hazard to all. It's one thing if he has no respect for his own stuff but he puts us all at risk IMO.

^--- I agree...He is crazy and doesnt care what happens.
Ive heard him bragging about his Vette too, IMO it isnt all that Rolleyes
I should drive my SRT-4 to the track sometime.....I bet I could take some of his money Big Grin
