never had that particular engine, but i can say that rb engines rock so it should be a good engine probably way to much for a revo though.

I have a Sirio .23 which is a very similar engine and it is awsome...do a heat cycle break in and you'll love it.

I saw one guy running it at LHR. Can't recall if it was real fast or not.

yep they are fast, they don't seem to be the longest lasting engine though.....oh and BTW it's not really an RB motor, it's a asian motor rebadged "RB"

i have an rb that has over 10 gallons on it and can still pull on new rossi engines i guess it must be the batch you get but i think rb are made by nova rossi and they have the same bearings and everything, but my only experience is with the .21 engines dont know to much about the others, if it is asian rebadge ya it might not last that long.

I think the TM323 are manufactured by the same company that makes the Sirio .23 (everything seems to interchange on these two particular engines) I'm not saying it's made by Sirio but its not your usual Novarossi / RB engine

ya probably is made by sirio lol but if it is reworked by rb might be better than the sirio version, but even still thats a lot of engine for a revo. unless maybe you get the center diff rear brake combo.

I don't think the sirio is made by sirio, I can't prove that though.

I just purchased the motor today for my Revo. I got tired of waiting for a batch of 3.3s. Does anyone know whats the horsepower on them?

They claim 3.0+ for the Sirio...and RB never states HP numbers (advertised numbers don't mean much anyway)

thanks for your imput on it. i started it up on sunday wow it was much louder than the stock 2.5 that comes with the revo. i was comparing the heads of the 2 engines wow big difference. i still have to break it in. I'm doing it the way traxxas tells you to. The manufactor sayes to do it that way as well. i guess its a run off of the heat meathod. this is my first aftermarket engine. i guess i just want to take it slow and make sure its done right so it will last longer.

If you want to do it right and make it last longr do the heat cycle method... not the traxxas method IMO.

I suggest sticking to the heat cycle method.

Either method works great. I did the traxxas way for my plus 21-5 motor and im noticing very similar results.

Did you have to adjust the needles to break in motor or did you leave it alone?

I had to adjust them slightly just to get the motor over 200. Wrapped the head in foil and just had it tuned enough that way to get temps about 220. This way keeps the motor rich to get enough lubrication but yet still gets it to the right temperature for a great break in.

no i didn't touch the needles. the mixture settings were very rich and it wouldn't move very fast but after about 3 tanks i leaned it out and wow. it takes off.

I broke all three motors (3.3,P5,Vspec) in on sunday, using the heatcycle method. Temps would not go above 200 until I wrapped the head with aluminum and leaned them out a tad.

I've heard some good and some bad on this engine. A while back a ton of people had problems with the carb on it, with needles coming loose and such. I was looking into the new TM523, which is actually made by RB.
