dude honestly that plate does nothing but add weight to the truck. No need to make anything stronger. If you cant drill 2 holes in the tower and put a washer on each side and a screw through it then maybe you need to find another hobby lol. Its not rocket science. Not trying to sound rude but your spending money were it doesnt need to be

I can vouch for the MBX5 wing/mount too. I really put it through a beating today and it took everything. The wing is super flexible and the mount is tough. If you break it then I guess you are just skilled.

in the first pic on the bottom 2 screws is the part were you need to grind the towers flat. Put a washer on each side of the tower and tighten it down and your done. No maitence on it, no hassles, no lose screws, just perfect results. Only maitance I have done so far is change 1 wing

I've got the exact same setup as mich. Super durable! Mine has never broken either.
06-07-2006, 09:18 AM
I mounted mine same as Mich and Tune. Just a note...when you do it this way, you can't get a wrench on the screws holding on the rear bumper spacer. So decide if you want the bumper on or off before you install the wing mount, or you will have to remove it to access the bumper screws.
Also, when you are grinding away the ribs on the body mount for the two lower bolts, make sure to get it good and flat, or you bend the screws when you tighten it down.

thanks dave,.....im going to take the bumper off, andf ill make sure the bottom holes are nice and flat

Having trouble spelling "Mugen"? lol You can get the screws from LH I think. Oh and Mich when I bought mine they were not included. Tekno EB48.4 HobbyWing XR8 Sanwa M12

Michowski Wrote:they should be included in the bag. Mine were not either. (6) 3mm lock nuts (6) 3X12mm These are the screws that are countersunk for the wing and the screws that go into the wing brace. You might only need two countersunk ones depending on if you got the little cone washers for the 4 screws that hold the brace together. (2) 3X20mm for the upper mounting holes that go to the tower (2) 3X16mm for the lower mounting holes Those are out of the MBX-5 instruction manual. You might need some longer screws that go to the tower because I am sure the plastic Revo tower is thicker than the MBX-5 towers.

matt, shut-up...lol
michowski the picture shows that they are not included...... and ue-maxx thanks man Losi 8ight with v-spec

No problem.

damn sucks for you guys then lol jk. Everything was included in my factory sealed kit. I only had to get a little bit thicker washer for the back on the top screws to get the wing and screws straight. No biggie.
