I sure hope so Dave. I got the chrome-top starter box yesterday and that thing (at times) was a pain in the rear to assemble!

looks cool , should be a great basher k's are tanks for real, and you can use some 777 parts on there also. im not sure but i think somebody told me if you change the uni's you can use the 777 chassis as well but im not totally sure becuase i have never done it.

What's the advantage to running the 777 chassis over the 7.5 one?

its longer less of driving a square lol

Really? I'll have to semi-look into it lol.

So supposedly, all you'd have to do is get some 777 center universals and chassis and everything else would drop in?

you would have to get the front end suspension parts, arms blocks etc i think the front uni's are the same but the centers are different

I am almost positive that the 777sp1 is not longer than the k2. If I am wrong, Iknow for sure the engine sits closer to the front on the 777sp1. This is why they made the sp2. Which is longer and the engine sits more rearward. I also believe the sp2 chassis is closer to the k2 chassis than the 777 sp1 is.

sp2 is same length as the k2 its just that the tuning and stuff that comes with the sp2 suspension geometry is nice. You could change everything on the K cars and not notice any difference with the sp2 u get more tuneability

Alright- I'm having a problem w/ my starter box. When I set the chassis down on it, and try to start up the wheel, it instantly hits the chassis without a chance to speed up. Should i just make the opening on my chassis bigger? I don't think I should, I know when I had a k2 before on the same box it fit just fine for me. Help!

Lower motor mount or larger flywheel, or both.

I don't know if you can adjust the wheel height on the box or not, but if you can try lowering it.

I looked and I can't.

I think I figured it out though, I put a spacer between the lid of the box and the part that the lid screws onto, and then that pushed the lid up some, and then I used some of the alignment things for the lid to prop up the truck higher. Seems to work, I just can't push all the way down. There's got to be a better way though.

Like you said the wheel won't have to go that far up into the chassis, just enough to hit the flywheel.

Yeah...And then a-durr...If the flywheel hits the big wheel then I can't push down anymore so it won't rub as long as the flywheel sits low enough.
