outdoor track tires???
#51
Thanks Czech -- yeah, I was askin' about 1/8 buggy tires

The crime fighters come in 3 compounds but like you say bowties come in one only as far as i can see.

Does compound (m2 or m3 or xtr) make that much difference in loamy/loose conditions?
And what about foams? Use the standard whites or optional grays?

I would get M2's they are good all around, get urself maybe one set of M3 and one set of XTR just to have to use or try at different tracks

NOT the whites definately. Greys are OK but Racer's edge are best for MT tires. I hear good things about the panther molded ones for 1/8.

panther doesnt have molded buggy foams yet...DO NOT USE THE PROLINE MOLDED FOAMS, phuck em' i have tried numerous ways to keep them together, cant keep them from ripping. Wait until they get their act together over at Proline to use them again

That sux........been using the green molded panther foams for ST and was hopin to use molded foams for 1/8 buggy too. Theyre convenient, i can get a more consistent sidewall stiffness and they seem to roll better.
But since 1/8 molded foams arent availabe from panther and Proline's molded foams "suck", im back to using proline grays (??) and cuttin em at an angle at the sidewall to get em to fit the tire.

I wonder what foams Proline uses for their premounted tires?? Maybe i can take the easy way out afterall.

all mine have gone 2 gallons plus already

Panther had some problems with their foams, well no really problems, but their foreign maker stopped doing it. They used a process through treadz tires to make their foams, which would not pass US chemical laws or some BS so they are now trying to make their own a cleaner way they are currently under going testing. Proline however skipped this testing period and the foams just dont hold up, they are too porous and have too many bubbles so they rip. I would use either the panther whites or proline whites, proline greys are for MT. U dont need to trim them down or anything. I am pretty sure that the proline premounts have molded foams in them.

See guys I can critique proline products also lol
