Mountain bikes...... lots of them. This is the one I just bought to have a bigger travel bike for my vacation out west. I got a heck of a deal on it seeing that it would cost me $4000 or so to build it. The only downside was that my buddy who owned it moved to Arizona so I had to have it shipped from there.

My newest acquisition for riding to and from work and to take up to Road America for the SuperBike races next year. Dave how long did you ride for and why did you sell your bike?
The Dealer took this photo, I'll have better pics later.

The GPz I sold was mine since new in 1982. I had a Kaw KZ1000LTD before that. I sold the LTD to a buddy of mine who trashed it. I never should ahve sold it but I wanted to trade-up to the GPz. I rode the GPz for about three years and then got married. Once married I put about 300 miles on it in 20 years. That's why I sold it and converted the money into RC trucks...well, not all of it, yet.

I've always loved vintage bikes-Nortons, Triumphs, Jap bikes, etc. I've always wanted to move up to rural wisconsin and restore vintage bikes when I retire. My father rode Nortons and beemers and my uncle rode and restores old Triumphs. I rode back in highschool when I was living with my father in California. I had a bad crash on a buddies bike that scared the hell outta of me. I crashed because of lack of experience. So my dad taught me to ride better on his beemer, but it was to big for me to ride in LA and I didnt have the money for a bike. I had my first boy in college a few years later and gave up on the idea of owning a bike. But recently with rising gas prices, and the fact that I am sick of sitting in my car in traffic and wasting gas I thought I would give bikes another shot. This time I am prepared, training and practicing, with all the right gear.

Nice Kaw, is it street legal? From what I understand my 74 yamaha RD350 is supposed to be very fast, at least in its day it was. It's a 2 stroke 6-speed! I'm a little scared but I think I'll manage.
