Maxx, there are different opinions on how long the pressure line should be. There has been some discussion on a couple of threads over at
http://www.SGrid.com recently. Seems that some say 6-8" should be ok, others think maybe 8-10". Part of it depends on your tune, and if you are having a problem with your engine flaming after a pitstop, which is said to be a symptom of too short of a pressure line (most feel that 4" is too short). It builds up so much pressure in the tank, expecially when it starts getting empty, that when you open the lid to refuel, the pressure escapes, and causes some brief fuel flow issues. One solution was to run a gutted fuel filter in your pressure line. I know a couple of us had that problem last summer, and the filter trick worked. I have since gone to a longer pressure line, and no filter without any problems. I am running about 9.5" on my TTR with a P5, and about 11" on my LSP with modded P7.
