I heard from another member that Intense Raceway Park in DeKalb is losing their lease and closing at the end of the month. Another track bites the dust unfortunately. Hopefully the indoor carpet racers will have a new track somewhere in the area in the future. Until then, welcome the dirt racers to LHR....maybe this will bring more electric dirt guys to LHR???

Yes it is true, I have decided that I will not be renewing the lease at the end of the month. We will have open practice through the end of the month and will be offering 10%-20% off all merchandise still on the wall. All Nitro fuel will be $19.99 a gallon. With Erica going through more Surgeries next week and possibly more down the road my schedule will just not allow the time needed to keep up the track. There are also other reasons why the lease will not be renewed beyond my control that I will not get into on here, but after things get sorted out with Erica, We will begin to look for a new location to have an indoor carpet track. I will be returning to just racing and enjoying my race time like the old days. So please stop by the next few weeks to talk, pick up some parts, grab your items still here. It was a hard decision that was not an easy one by any means, I really hate that the track will be gone forever and look forword seeing everyone at a track near by. Open Practice will be open till the end of the month. I will see everyone soon. Thank you to everyone that has helped out and raced with us, I enjoyed every minute of it. Shane

Yes IRP is closing end of this month.

A good number of the onroad carpet racers are now going to His and Hers Hobbies in Kenosha, WI. It's smaller but they have a nice facility and the track is growing now with the influx of IL racers.

I haven't seen any post on their site or forum about proposed race schedule and /or classes.
