damn.. it was just a sugestion. Take the brakes off your RC's then. I figured it would be a shit fest if I posted anything usefull. I guess I wasn't wrong. I all the sudden remember why I don't bother to post or read anyhting here most of the time.
Either way I can't make it on the 13th. I have a sales rep comming in from out of state and cant get off work early.

John, I'm sure everyone was joking. Too bad you won't be able to make it. I was looking forward to seeing close-up all the new modifications you have made. Maybe one of these weekends coming up, Firesprink and I will be able to make it out to Busse.

I know everyone was joing.. but joking or not this board is a huge waste of time. Every thread is starts with a legit post.. then 10 posts of inside jokes, smart ass comments, then a legit post followed by another 10 posts of junk. Every thread ends up being 8 pages long with only a couple actual usefull posts.
I know guys here are all friends and love kicking eachother in the balls all day long but it gets annoying as hell after a while.

Damn Six, time to turn in your mod powers it seems since you don't like the board anyway.

I gave a serious constructive idea but got nothing but how stupid the idea of having working brakes was. Not a single person said it would be a good idea.
I admit though I over reacted sorry about that... sadly though I've spoken to several local guys that have posted here once or twice just to get riped up a one of which said he'll never post here again. hell I spoke to a guy at Venture about a week or so ago that saw my RC18t on the board. He said he only reads the board but will never post because its a racer board and anyone else will get treated harshly. So its not just me. Edit... I see you already took the mod powers. Thanks for giving me NO chance to say anyhitng else before taking them... but ohh well.

Ok, Back on Topic.
Hopefully things work out where Six can make it, but I agree, work is more important. I know Firesprink and I are in. Eric, are you going to try to make it on the 13th? It'd be cool to have a few GT's there.

Im going to try, but I F'd up over the weekend and hooked up my battery backwards and fried my spektrum reciever and now the servos are not working either!
I guess drinking too much and playing with R/C's to show other drunk friends is not a good idea! LOL Later, I took the spektrum out of the ST-R to try it in the GT and nothing works in the GT, but it works good in the ST-R..... So I may have to get some new servos for the GT, but I do have a third spektrum laying around though, so Im good there. I'll have to see what servos I can dig up out of the basement LOL

Yeah but ya need more then two for fun anyways after five min's of those two driving they would be trashed and need a looooong pitstop.
On the topic of brakes I upgraded to Cradoc dics for a 7.5 and some aftermarket pads and she stops on a dime. but hey I have the Subie body so I don't need brakes, I can drift through the corners!

Im in luck, I got my other spektrum receiver installed and I found one of my old Hitec HS-5945MG servos in the basement to use for steering.
I also found a $14 (price tag still on it) Futaba S3004 for the throttle/brakes So....if the rain holds out, Im going to try and make it. Just look out for a white BMW with no brakes, because not only do I still have the crappy stock brakes, but now I have a $14 servo trying to stop it! LOL
