The homework was unclear. I asked Charlie to clarify it, then I will start in on it.

Not much of a preview of is what to come, but this is what I am working on.
I am still a little undecided on what to do in the back.

Chrome or silver? Looks like a cool concept, now to wait for the colors. :joy:

Spazstix chrome.
The front is going to be yellow and white. Middle will either be blue streaks or blue marble and I don't know what to do with the back. Speaking of spazstix, how do you guys get the paint from the bottle to the color cup? The paint always like runs down the side of the bottle.

It is a very well defined pattern versus the puffy stuff. The hunt continues for the best CF template!
03-04-2007, 05:39 PM
lol for sure, I think Charlie B made up a vinyl one that looks more like real CF

If someone could come up with a rectangular punch, I have smooth vinyl shelf liner that is flat, and could be punched into the cf pattern. I though about trying to "square off" a piece of round brass tubing to make a punch. we'll see...

Any idea of what to charge for a 1:5th scale multi color (not to intracate)??
03-05-2007, 12:10 AM
i would say tack on atleast 40 to what u would normally charge just for the materials alone

At least with the 1/5 scale you can bring out the touch-up gun and shoot high volume quicker.
