Ok,so since he was there filming. How long till we hear about the video on the internet?

Only one guy has that video and I don't think he will let it out!! To hard to lose your friend and then show the video, I would have thrown it in a fire by now!!

I hope they never show that video. Theres no reason for anyone to see that. And yes its true that sting rays have now only killed 2 people. One killed some kid 18 years ago and now steve is the 2nd. Thats how rare it is to get killed by a sting ray.

It really is sad. I was shocked when I heard how it happened. I would think that it would be cool if they show the video that they were shooting as a tribute or memorial almost. I don't think they will ever show the actual footage of him getting stung by the barb though. The other unfortunate thing is that at the time the don't think his wife even knew because she was off trekking somewhere I believe. For all I know she still may be.....

Well he died doing what he loved

Ever hear of anyone who died doing what they hated? I'll probably be the first. Poor guy, just dropped dead taking out the trash, man he hated that.

But seriously, I was just shocked. I mean, this guy was friggin invincible. I was in the Caiman Islands a few years ago, and swam with stingrays. They were on us like a pack of puppies looking for a treat. People were petting them, and one idiot picked one up. They got stepped on and kicked, took food from our hands, and followed us around. One person got bit - or I should say sucked on, as they have no teeth.

on my earlier post. There have only been recorded from 3-17 deaths ever worldwide from sting rays. Thats how rare it is. Truly sad

There is a video. I heard a couple of times today on the radio that there it was cought on video and it has been watched by those who were there. So as said before,it will be only a matter of time before it is out.

pulling it out is what killed him. It can penetrate clean but pulling it out makes it act like a saw and just rips apart everything it touches.

Thats just human to do that. I doubt he would have lived either way I mean the damn thing put a hole in the heart! LOL. Hole or bone like rod in the middle of it. Either way,the heart wasnt made to work like that. Sorry,there are no upgrade or option parts
Its just kind of weird. They dont attack like that unless you scare them basicly. So he must have done something wrong. Either that or that ray was just camera shy.

they said he didnt even notice the ray untill it was right there because it swam up from under him and at that point it was to late.

Im watching Larry King Live and steves best friend and producer is on the show. He was there and witnessed most of the tragedy. He just said they only have 1 tape of the incident and right now its in police custody. He said once the tape is released back to them it will be destroyed.

One question that was asked was how is his wife taking this and the producer almost broke down as he has been every few minutes and he said im doing good compared to how she is taking it. I cant imagine how the family is doing.
