Well Guys due to the fact that our Winter Challenge was a success we are going to do it one more time indoors. We have set up a race with Bernie.
Date: Saturday April 9th 2005
Time: 1:00 registration closes 1:30 racing starts
Where: Leisure Hours
Costs: $20 first class $10 each additional
We have added a class this time around, so the classes are as follows:
* 1/8th scale Pro Buggy (must have a .21 size engine and pretty much ROAR Legal)
* 1/8th scale Sportsman ( No engine size limitations)
* Unlimited MT
* Mt Sportsman
* Electric Open
* 1/10 scale sradium truck open
2 (5) minute qualifiers: 15 minute A Main, 10 MInute B main, 5 minute C and below mains
Bigger and more trophies this time around also:
1st-4th in A Mains for MT Unlimited, Mt Sportsman, 1/8th buggy pro
1st-3rd in A Main Electric, Stadium, 1/8th sportsman
1st-3rd in B Main 1/8th pro, 1/8th sportsman. Mt Sportsman, Unlimited MT
We are trying to organize another raffle not sure yet, but it will probably be 1 thing like a high end engine or a kit of some sort.
You can once again pre register with me here or email me at [email protected]
I will need full name and class and freq.
Also I will be out of town fron Thurs 3/10-monday 3/14 so if you dont get a response from me thats why.

By actual rules, ANY truck can race in unlimited, most prefer not to, because of the difference in powerbands... That is, unless the race director (You in this case) says otherwise. Not trying to cause static....
Quote:OUTLAW MONSTER TRUCK (May be referred to as "OUTLAW MONSTER TRUCK" or "UNLIMITED MONSTER TRUCK"), FUEL, OFF-ROAD
Scale - unknown (1/10-1/8?)
Description:
Any Monster Truck that does not 100% meet the Standard MONSTER TRUCK specifications while still meeting the below guidelines. Standard Monster Trucks may also enter the Outlaw class.
Engine - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - .12ci to .28ci
Minimum weight - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 2750grams (~6 pounds)
Fuel Tanks - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Single fuel tanks only. max capacity: 150cc
By the way, count me in for Sportsman MT, and possibly 1/8 Sportsman. As long as this race isn't the same weekend as CampMaxx.

that is suggested rules. Our club uses a slightly different set that states can have no gear reduction transmission in the Unlimited class. BY doing this we keepo the truggies and Hybrids together and the true MT's together. We have found it keeps complaining about unfair vehicles to a minimum.
Also if you read up on the rules that you quoted from alot of the revos that run at lh would be illegal because it states your wing can't be wider than the body. Most are running 1/8th scale wings on 1/10 scale bodies.
But it is all about having fun anyways
Chris thanks I got you down. I truelyhope it doesn't comflict with Camp Maxx, I tried to wait but we are less than a month away so I had to act.

I believe pre-registering is not required, but it will guarantee you a spot. Nothing worse than showing up for a race and registration is closed because the place is full.

If you have the standard 2 speed setup those trucks came with, you'd be racing MT sportsman. Engine size wouldn't matter for this race. I race my savage with a .26 motor (the stock .21 was too slow for me .
I'm not an electric racing guy, so I'll let someone else anwser the electric class question.

I think the "electric class" is run what you brung electric wise. not sure though.
You wouldn't want to run a electric with the nitros because the mains are a little long and you would have to change batts when you pit.

Well guys back from AZ. I went from 85 in Tucson, to 18 inches of snow today in flagstaff, talk about going threw all the season in a day. Well kinda glad to be back ( except weather and work wise).
Thanks to those that have answered questions in my absence. The Savage and Monster would both be in the Sportsman Class. Due to that they have a transmission(gear reduction). As far as your emaxx would go, in our club last year if any showed they raced in the MT class, since the elect. stadium guys wanted no part of racing against a bigger MT. I can understand their point. So if you race the emaxx we will have to put you into the sportsman mt, unless the electric guys don't mind. Last race we had only 3 electrics, so we dont have a big turnout for electric. But by the sounds of it you will probably have 3 Sportsmans so you may just want to choose your best racer and race that one.
