ur driving style wont ruin ur diffs, ur bashing style will tho
1-2 hours of a window is BS u must have something way off either low to lean or top too lean and ur compensating with the other needle, get the low set and then dial in the top and you shouldnt have to touch it anymore

the only thing i can see being a problem with the rear diff thing is that:
your bulk head is worn out
your bearings are shot
you still didnt grease the gears
or its not really shimmed well
did you end up getting just a new ring or did you get both ring and pinion gears?

Not sure about the bulkhead, that could very well be the problem.
Bearings all feel smooth
Greased the gears with a nice little tube of AE black grease
And you shimmed it lol
I didn't get a new ring or pinion, I had another set laying around I threw in there.

Rear brakes never lock up, only the fronts. Rears get about 75% I'd say.
Once again, not sure about the bulks.
Not landing on power, or at least not trying to.
I have another set of rear bulks, when I go in to fix the diff again, I'll switch it out.

Yeah, I do that and then double check that it feels fine by hand. Otherwise I end up setting it too far out and strip the CB.

lol I was kidding about the paper...
Ok when I go to shim it I'll see what I can do....
Placing an order tonight from B-main, anything else I should get while I'm there? I'm running white springs in all corners, should I get the blue ones? I see more people running those.
I got like $100 to play with right now, but I don't want to spend more than I should.
Will a 777 bumper fit on my 7.5?
And uh....
http://tiltyard.com/bmainhobbies//catalo...cts_id=983
I need some upper arms....Will these work? I'm supposed to get 3x40mm but all I can find is 3x38.

Oh and I was thinking, if I changed clutch springs so it wasn't so snappy would that help too? What do you guys think with alu shoes, .9,.95, or 1, or 1.1?

kyosho shoes are about 20 bucks, run those unless you wanna pick up the TTR flywheel and the AE white shoes and springs, the wholes setup is prolly cheaper and it rocks

Messing around with my old gears practicing shimming, do I want 0 play at all, or just a hair? I have 2 brass shims (thicker) and 2 silver shims (thinner), right now, if I throw both brass on the ring side and both silver on the other side, it just barely has any play. 1 brass and 2 silver on the ring side and 1 brass on the other side and there is no play at all, but not hard to turn the gears either.

Cool.
