I dont know much about the .21 and up group. But under $200 is kinda hard unless you plan to shop on the bay. Look at Amain for motors. Werks is good, the nova motors get high marks too. But for that price. Your not going to have much to choose from.

He has a werks .21 B7(7port) I have a Werks .21 B3(3port)

Hey mike,I think I did screw up the motor some how. I can turn it over by hand. It still takes some force. But it is easier then it was before. Doubt it has changed since you looked at it in peoria. Only had it running 2-3 times since that.

well without a breakin, it would prolly get loose pretty quick, im betting that it got hot and having a blown plug on there doesnt help either.

I did run it in. But from the way you make it sound. It was not enough. I dont know. It was running fine the past two times I had it out on the track until the clutch bell lost the bolt and it fell off. I am still tuning it. Or I might sell the whole thing. Guy at work wants a truggy. Offered me $400 for it.

well i mean some guys run a couple tanks and they are fine I prefer to run more fuel through them before i race tune them, thats what works well for me, I think if you get your tune closer than it was last time, and if the rod is fine then it will run fine once u get it all tuned up right

how about the xtm 24/7 pro. Its a tough durable and powerful engine for around 130.00 and can be converted from pullstart to non for about $10

$300,then you open the door for more choices. When I was asking about a motor. Most of the answers I got were RB,Werks(guess who! LOL),Nova, and a couple of OS(V-spec)

I have a 24/7. Rocco has run about 3 or 4 of them from his savage to his lsp.

They are great inexpensive engines and hold a great tune... IMHO they are great starter engines, becuase they are relatively inexpensive ,have loads of torque but are still very driveable, and if taken care of can easily get 5 gallons or so. Just make sure you get the pro version.

Also they come with a pullstarter, so if you have a bump box buy the non pullstart backplate and covert.

21BF would be probally too small of a mill for truggy. That's just my personal opinion. Maybe a +5 or something along those lines. 528 in the STR is brutal. Insane power thats not needed if you plan on track time. Bashing.....would be better for that mill.

rich the way the trugs are setup now i think it will be fine, in a HB or jammin i dobut it but an str mugen or ttr it shoudl be just fine
