Who's game? Myself and Jack will be at the bmx track in elgin this coming up sunday (7/18) around 3pm. Weather permitting of course. I'll have my savage and he's bringing his buggy.
Here's the site for the bmx track. http://www.thehillbmx.com
There's directions and a map on the site for those who might need it.

Till one of us breaks . Usually around 2 hours or so. If others will be there though, maybe longer than normal. I don't mind watching others bash.

bigdangerous is right, we've never been kicked out. Most of the time the bmx'ers watch us jump the hills. We always get more air than they do .
We're respectfull though. If the is someon coming through on a bike, or about to come through, we get of the way and let them run. We always give them the right of way, no one ever complains about us being there.

The bmx track was fun today! Met rcsavagefan, nitrolittlejoe and his wife. Everyone was cool and agreed we should do this again.
Had some breakage but all was good. Busted a spur gear, motor mount, part of the throttle linkage (thank god for the return spring on the carb!). Next time out, my truck is gonna be roll cage reinforced!
Bryan utilized my camera and shot some video of all of us jumping our trucks and jack's buggy flying through the air. The editing will begin shortly and I should have it up here for download within the next couple of days. This will be the first official chitownrc.com video!

Man, it was fun. I am sure I will do it again if I can get my wife to watch the kids again
ChitownRC, thanks again for the parts and your help to get my steering back.
NitroLittleJoe, I hope your leg is ok. I am really really sorry about that. I totally miscalculated the distance!
My damage is minimal, I need to get a new spur gear tomorrow then.

I had a great time... broke two rear shocks on the buggy, bent a shock shaft on the tmaxx. Usually I break more stuff but I took it a little easy today. Thanks again for the clutch, nitrolittlejoe!!

I just got back from the elgin track around 7pm. I went out there cause my son was bored driving at home and was a little antsy. Plus I wanted to try out my new lighter and freshly repaired truck. Had a little audience with some kids driving their bikes there and I really did not want to be a distraction, but its hard not to. I have to say its pretty nice, I really could not get up some good speed with the kids and my own son sticking so close but I definately rolled it a bunch and got it really dusty. NOTHING BROKE, I knew yesterday was a fluke with the spur gear stripping cause 2 of the 3 screws came loose. I would have been there longer than 2 tanks of fuel but I decided to let the kids get back to it and my own son's batteries were dead. Nothing wrong with electric trucks but man I love NITRO. Be great to get with some of you out there soon.
