12-27-2006, 02:10 PM
Yeah..Turning makes them loosen up...That's what a diff does.

hes talking about turning to loosen up the diffs im talking about steering.
12-27-2006, 04:14 PM
I would think there shouldn't be any binding out of the box on that......
12-27-2006, 04:39 PM
Steering there is a little bind too. I haven't checked if it's gone but I'd bet it is. Sorry for the confusion, I know what you're talking about now.

"*** King Headz Servo Stiffener the Losi 8ight Buggys. ***
ALL pre-orders were shipped today. We still have about 30 left from the first batch and more will be back from anodize by the end of next week. We feel that this stiffener should reduce some of the flex across the throttle servo area. http://kingheadz.com/partzlinklosi8.html#KP-230"
SOLD: BCE Pro X1-CRT Truggy, Dace Predator/Unlimited Engineering towered VBS Supermaxx
Current: Nitro Traxxas Slayer Pro 4x4, Nitro Traxxas Slash

There's no need for this part if you know how to prevent coil bind when setting up your throttle/brake linkage.
12-29-2006, 03:34 AM
Could it not help with chassis flex through the middle of the chassis by stiffening the whole "top plate"?? I am not sure.... just speculating.

and chad drove it when the shocks were getting to tight... tried a trick to help any leaking... and its binding a lil... thats prolly why it was darty.
12-29-2006, 11:11 AM
Slim, what it is your setup for the front shocks?
12-29-2006, 11:50 AM
From Slim;
hot set up for LH front 54 pistons, 40 losi oil silver springs by time for mains... green if close to traction rolling. middle hole on tower for shock mount stock black sway stock camber link bones below level full droop, just less than shock topping out. diff 4k mugen oil 1.5 toe out. any thing else is by the book. center 5k mugen oil rear 55 pistons 32.5 losi silver for mid day and mains... green when track was still damp. top of shock all the way in on tower... ( transfers better, felt slow but lap times dropped doing this.) middle size rear sway outter hub in the inner hole. stock location for camber link ( on tower ) droop is about 4mm from full or 1/2 the distance from arms level to max droop... ( if you lift car straight up they stop the same time as the fronts ) diff was 2k mugen stock plate of 2-3 camber was 2 all 4 coners bones were below level. Tekno EB48.4 HobbyWing XR8 Sanwa M12

Ok thanks. I am running the same shock setup right now up front, but I have mine all the in and was going to move them to the middle hole.
