I just finished the math on what the company spends for energy consumption on monitors. Turns out the company is spending up to 3x more energy per year. Works out to $44/year for each CRT monitor, and only $14/year for each LCD monitor. Its based on a 8hr day average.

So the company will replace ~ 220 remaining CRT's with 22" widescreen acer LCDs over the next year.:joy:

I think so far the company has spent about 40k on new equipment this year for the usual departments. We got some new servers in too, but those are a different budget.

Now if they'll only buy me a new macbook pro 17" c'mon. they know I NEED one right?
