Mike, the race at Dirtburners we're referring to is the weekend of Sep 15. Well, at one point I thought it was a Roar Event, and then I thought I read it was a RC Pro event. I just now checked the dirburners website ( http://www.dirtburners.org ) and I found that the only big event they're advertising is a Roar National on June 26-29 which doesn't conflict with us at all. Then when I went to the RC Pro Series website I see that they have Midwest Division Round 3 scheduled for Sep, 15-16 at Dirtburners. Anyway, the point being, I agree with Gary and I don't think that the top guys being absent from our Round 6 race will hurt our overall expected attendance at that event. I expect our paid entrees at Leisure Hours to increase over last year, but I have to keep in mind that this is a young series, and I haven't gotten the attention of alot of people out there yet.
I have no intention of moving any rounds, unless forced to due to a later scheduling change with one of the tracks.

As far as the two races scheduled at the same time...I would explain that this is more of a "club" type of series and that your racers wouldn't normally go to STL anyway and that the racers who would go to STL for the RCPS don't really race your series anyway...
Or something to that effect....this makes it seem that your race won't take from theirs and theirs won't take from yours...

Nope, not me...I only have run one(1) Dirt Dawgs race so far...and that was last summer at our Midwest Nitrocross round at Daves track in Elburn. I never owned a Revo...ran a Hot Bodies Lightning Pro 2 buggy last year.

In all fairness...Lincoln is even farther south than Peoria, which we previously deemed a little too far for this years MWNX series.

Tex, the problem is getting the WI guys to travel. How many have you seen at LH? These guys rarely travel more than 45 mins. to a track. With the exception of LH, all of the MWNX series tracks are within 45 mins. of Bristol.

If we get higher attendance numbers this year, maybe we can expand next year to include a few places that are farther like the Peoria Track or up near Green Bay, or out in Monroe. I'm really hoping to see the attendance this year go up slightly. Heck, I'd even be happy to see the attendance stay the same.
I'm hoping we can bank some surplus money this year after all the prizes and stuff is taken care of...so next year we can get that Kenosha County Fair race taken care of.

I live in Kenosha...but once I get on the Interstate...it's about 2 hours to Madison ( going approx 8mph over ) plus then Rock Pile is slightly north of there? Nitro Farm takes me 1.5 hours once I get on the interstate...but I've been told I should be going west then north...not north on the "I" and then west. I dunno...I guess this summer I'll learn some faster routes! I lost my license four(4) times when I was younger...never a bad issue like DUI or anything like that...just 5 years of speeding tickets and being a dumbass I guess :o: Anyway, yes I do watch my speed nowadays. Anybody here ever have to have "SR22" insurance? It's state mandatory insurance for habitual traffic offenders. It stays with you for a long ass time, and it makes your rates like DOUBLE what a normal teenage boy would pay  I forget the exact amount but I know I was paying over $275 a month for liability only on a clapped out old GMC Sonoma with a 4 cylinder...I couldn't afford to drive a nice vehicle for years because of my insurance rates.

That's why I left Wisconsin. Too many speeding tickets. The worst was in front of Bradford Highschool with my Pro Street '68 Rambler American, 111 MPH over the speed limit. Sat in jail for that one.

The IL series comment was nothing to be taken wrong or anything. I guess the IL series just came out late last week or something. And I was hoping to do both. So now with only one race in conflict. I just might be able to do that. Depends on what races I wish to do at Mahomet and Peoria.

I know, I didn't take it personally or anything. After last year I know that you can't please half the people half the time...but if you please 45% of the people 45% of the time, then you are good to go
Anyway, yes, I would like to race a couple different series this year...who knows how that will go. Hey, who knows, maybe I'll even get some points in my own series

A couple things to announce. First of all, there is a change of date for our final round 7, it has been moved back one week to September 30th. Moving the date to the 30th will alleviate a conflict of dates that we had with the Wisconsin RC Pro Finals on the weekend of the 23rd. Also, Thomas Rubietta from Nitro Farm presented the idea of running a "Double Header" weekend with him the same weekend as his annual Fall Flameout race. That's right, talk the wives and girlfriends into a weekend away shopping because we'll be racing Saturday at the Nitro Farm and Sunday at the Rock Pile! Last but not least, Chuck Weiss has secured Cost Cutters and Super Cuts again for the 2nd year in a row...the list of sponsors is growing still! Don't forget to pre-register for your Titanium Midwest Nitrocross Membership if you want a great deal on your 2007 Tshirt!

Matt, I gotta say that myself and our little group of 5 racers aren't into the 2-3 day races anymore.
Will there be at least one qualifier first thing Sunday at the Rockpile for those who don't come on Sat. to Nitrofarm?

Thomas is holding his Fall Flameout at usual, but then for those people that might be getting a Hotel for his event can feel free to drive an hour West on Sunday to get one more race in before the long drive home.
The Fall Flameout will have nothing to do with the Midwest Nitrocross race...other than sharing the same weekend.
