Budget Truggy

I had all intention of making this truggy as inexpensive as possible, mostly becuase thats the only way the wifey would allow it lol but in doing so i used the expensive backup stuff i had for my buggy, so i didnt have to spend money on stuff like engine pipe, steering servo, wing, i didnt get any bling (red stuff) although i must admit the new BCE ST-1 chassis looks really good, but in the spirit of this post i dont beleive it's needed in order to be competitive. obviously if you add the original cost of the back buggy parts i ised the total cost is way more than $300.00 which i think that is what tex is implying but $300.00 is what i spent on this build so far just need a throttle brake servo and is done. But with the only a couple tanks at most through this trug before i bought it for 200$ when you add everything it is probably around close to $600.00. Which is still about 300 -400 less than a race ready new main stream truggy so all in all not to bad. its looking like april is when the race season is starting up over here, and with the little guy a little older now it will make it easier for me to travel to some races in germany, france, england, holland, denmark etc. i got 50 days of leave saved up and my wifes visa paperwork is working right now jst need my tax returns to finish it so i can come visit yall plus ive never been to Chicago so maybe someone can show me and the wife around. I feel blessed that i have somewhat gotten to know the guys on this forum, beleive it or not, during my shifts this place gives me something to do and is one of the highlights of my work time.

Joe,
Way to put those spares to work! They weren't doing any good in the pit box now were they? If the buggy breaks, strip the truck.

Thanks dave, well i didnt really have a choice really, my wife came up with this new deal so she can coexist with me and my hobby, bascially i have to double any money i spend on my hobby and half goes to the wife for pleasure spending and half goes into my son's account. So if i spend 100$ im actually spending $300 lol i dont mind but i have to be much more precise with my spending.

Sounds prudent.
I set a earnings goal each year. If I exceed it, the overage gets spread around over the family as fun stuff. Some for her, some for me, some for the kids, some for the house.

It could be you want them that way, but the front upper arms are on backwards, which decreases caster.
