Saturday bash at Elgin BMX track....
#1
Anyone up for some big air? Just watch out for rocks and thrown gravel.

I'm thinking that between 11:00 and 12:00 noon would be a good time to show up.

Here's the tracks address.
1 S McLean Blvd
Elgin, IL 60123
(773) 637-7500

From the East (Busse bash area)
Take 90W towards rockford, exit south on Randall Rd.
Follow Randall road, turn left (east) onto Weld rd.
Follow Weld rd, turn right into S. McLean blvd (there will be a Wendys very close to the complex)
Follow S McLean blvd till you see Spartan rd, turn left onto Spartan rd, and follow the signs to the BMX track.

Yeah, that body is SWEET!!! I want one.

It rained here, the track could be muddy, bring a spray bottle to clean your rid off with. Nitro cleaner works too.

HOLY CRAP...LOL WAS THE TRACK REALLY MUDDY?? lol

Some spots were sorse than others. There were some spots that would bog the trucks down, because the mud was so deep and soft.

Walking across the mud to marshal a bad landing was pretty challenging.

as long as your truck is water proofed, it wont take long at all. i have tubs that the trucks fit into. when i realized this was to big of a job for that, i put it in the back yard and turned to hose on. clean in 5 min.

The only thing I worry about when cleaning my stuff like that is the bearings. I usually take the bearings out and regrease them before putting them back in the truck.

I usually do a nearly full disassembly, taking the front and rear bulk head assemblies off the chassis, servo tray, radio box, and engine.

Mabye I'm overdoing something here, but that's what I do after a race day thirdgen, lol. I take everything apart, clean it, check diffs, oils etc.
