Grand!?!?!? How do you figure?? P2 rockers, Foreward only conversion, wheels and tires, pipe, steering servo, steering mods, radio (which goes with ANY vehicle for racing), wing mount and wing. That is all that it NEEDS to be very raceable. I don't know where you got a grand.....

What don't you understand?? In the whole time I owned the truck I broke one shock end racing, and one pushrod. I broke one arm and one rocker when bashing, one pushrod and a motor mount. That was IT.

I just think it's hard to say something breaks all the time until you own one and drive one.... I am not a Traxxas fan, but it's a pretty damn cool truck.

Build me a RTR top notch truggy for that price?? No way are you getting a kit, full electronics, motor, reciever pack, starter box, chargers, glow starter, and EVERYTHING to make it RTR for that price. Unless you buy used. If that is the case you can get a full on race revo for under $400 RTR used.

You said an extra grand on top of that. That isn't what that number tells me. And I wonder what radio and servos he used. All you need is a steering servo and a simple JR radio. You can buy them lightly used for VERY cheap. No need to buy one $200 new....
I am not saying a Revo is the best race vehicle. I am saying that it is a lot stronger than people say, and isn't near the money pit that the T-Maxx was....

They are completely different classes. They can't be compared like that. would I rather have a truggy?? Yes. Does that mean that you don't have a top notch race revo for that price? No.

All that I had for spares was a bag of extra arms that I bought off someone for $5 or $10 with some rockers. I never, didn't finish a race from having to buy more parts or because I broke out. If you want to say used.... Look at what Tune sold his revo for. You won't beat that for a raceable MT. (Except maybe Rocco's Salvage. )

No kidding. And just because you threw out a number that was close to his doesn't make you right. You don't need spektrum, you don't need a $75 servo. Hell you don't even need a pipe.

ok but who is going to go to the track with an RTR truck with stock electronics, not to mention using the stock motor for long. You know that anybody who races will end up buying a new 250$ motor. I didnt throw out a number i know what im talkin about bud. The revo's are money pits, you know im right about that, why not put the money into a better class to race in just my $.02 prolly a nickel too many

You don't need anything more than the stock motor. Anyone on here will tell you that. It can be run with stock electronics.... but most choose to swap them out. That, FOC, and tires are the main costs. Thay aren't money pits. People choose to upgrade them, but they don't need to be. But that just goes with monster trucks, everyone upgrades them. You didn't own a revo so you don't know the kind of cash they take.... I do.
