Those motors are a copy of the EB mods versions, they copied EB's mods from him when he did all that work for Great Plains last year and they try to pass it off as there own.

Ebay should move them well for you tho.

ed didnt have a filled crank or alot of the other stuff. and alot guys on the grid said the eb mod was faster....go crawl back in ur hole torres no sh!t! LOL

how is it copied? maybe the porting, but how could the balancing and all that be copied? Ed didnt use those plugs or hardcoat the crank, or use a mag head. Joe its snowing again, time to go back to work eh lmao

The pictures show what has been done. Ed doesnt go as far as OS did. They did some of the same mods and then went farther.

Quick Q.

Would there be noticeable benefits to putting the OS Speed Crankshaft in a regular old Vspec? It seems like there would be benefits to it, but would it have any ill effects on an otherwise stock engine?

Uh yeah.. I bet you could just buy another vspec for what that crank would cost you

it would give the motor more top end, not incredibly noticeable tho; but it WILL balance your motor a good deal more and increase longevity on rod and bearings

And I can see how the engine would last longer, because of there being less vibration.

What does the tungsten slug do for the crankshaft? Just lighten it?

balances it, tungsten is very heavy

the plugs are used to balance and counter weight the cuts made on the crank. You will get better top end using that crank because it is lightened first off all, and with the silicon fill they did the fuel flow will be directed more directly into the case giving you more efficiency and more power
