im new to rc and i bought a used ttr and it ran great for 2 weeks with only minor tune ups and carb tunes. then i was running it and came out of a turn and it made a continuous high pitched noise until i stopped the engine (621 P) and nothing looked out of place and it wasnt overheating or even hot for that matter. So i put it on the starter box and it started but did the same thing within 5 seconds. if anyone has any advice let me kno. the carb was not wide open which was y i was confused that it made that noise

Loose nut on the flywheel is my guess.

Wouldn't have restarted on the box if the flywheel is loose....
If he can't see stripped spur or clutch bell gears (external) it must be internal problem. Does it still move while making noise, or is it losing power to the wheels? All four wheels or just one end?

Not trying to argue but I've had a friend run his buggy with a loose flywheel nut and it would start on the box (I assume from the pressure being applied to the crank) but every time he would get on it, it would whine like crazy.

Roger that. I've learned something new. Thanks, Brian. That's a problem that would be hard to understand/fix because the fact that it does start thru the FW would make you think that logically it can't be loose! Another example of how RC defies logic.
