What happened while I was gone
#1
Hey guys, I have been out of the R/C scene for quite sometime (going on 2 years) Last time I raced was my R40 at HTOP, and Tinley Park. I see that Walt does not have a website anymore, and I know that HTOP has been defunked but is Chicagoland R/C still around. There is a new track here by me at Strictly RC. Looking to come back into the R/C racing with my new sidekick. Maybe some of you may remember me RC Zone as Rkmori, or even remember me at Tinley or Hobbytown Oak Park. Fill me in guys...... and I look forward to seeing some familiar faces again

Well that is too bad, Is walt still racing or did he give that part up too? I will have to definitly have to check out LHR, but before I do I need to get the fingers nimble again, and catch-up with the new technology. Also my new sidekick (my boy) need to see some track time before mixing it up with some of the hardcore racers, and he really seems to have a pretty good feeling for it. So I figure I will spend this season just hitting some of the smaller tracks. So if anybody can let me know where some are that would be great.

Rex, come race 1/18th and 1/14th scale with us at Strictly. We race Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons. The track is open 7 days a week for practice. It's totally layed back and fun. Great for newbies and kids and for racers looking for a fun time.

For fun with 1/10th on road on the carpet head to His and Her's Hobbies for their Saturday evening races.

In Winthrop Harbor there's a new carpet track too.

Leisure is still racing indoors for off road, nitro on Sundays and electric on Saturdays:

Hello chicagokenji, NOW..... I know that name is asian, unless you picked a asian nickname, but anyways, I plan on taking the time to visit strictlyrc, they are about 10 minutes from me. I need to find my RS4 micro (it could be in one of 20 places) and see if the bats are still worth saving, or I maybe building new packs. The R/C bug has bit me again due to my son is now old enough to understand what he heck is going on, and wants to do, what I did. I told him if he gets good enough he can race my R40 and I told him about the new track and he is itching to go. Hope to see you there, if you see a 6 ft tall jap thats me.

Let me know when you can make it to Strictly. Don't let not having a car ready keep you from stopping by...you can try a few of ours out.
