did anybody crash?

No crashes. One guy crossed into the other lane (big wheelie and came down a little crooked) but he was running solo because they knew it could happen. I think only one blown motor and a lost hood besides that. It was a great night for racing.

I will try to get pics up later. There was a jet dragster and just some really nice cars that the opportunity of TV appearance brought out.

Haha. It's all good. A guy actually had a Grand Prix that he had switched from Supercharged to Turbocharged..... He was running 12's I believe. Not bad for a GP. Haha

Now I'm no car expert and not sure on the newest styles yet but I know for a fact that the 2000, 01, 02, 03 gtp's are runnin 13's off the showroom floor.

 Really?? How do you know for a fact?? I beat them by car lenghts. I can run the new ones heads up and its a mater of reaction times at the finish line. So, since I am running a mid-high 14 so are the brand new ones. The previous model had to be running at least a 15 second 1/4. I was beating them when I was stock. My buddy has an 01 with some work done to it and he is just breaking into the 13's.

Yeah. They are quick cars and fun to drive. (They feel faster than they are because of the low-end torque from the supercharger.) They are not doing 13's from the factory though.....

the new ones are mid 14,s and the older ones were a high 14. they raised the compression in the newer ones thats really the only diffrence

the new ones are very quick considering their roots as a boat. lol I'm a huge pontiac fan. Always have been always will be. I road in a 07 GP and the thing threw me back in the seat (with a supercharger though)

In ideal situations. The guy I ran in a new one ran a 14.8 or 14.9 I think....

Ford knows it wont go past that.mine goes to 120, but tops out at 117. i do not recomend doing this on public roads. try it on the highwayWink

Thats what would happen. I haven't pegged mine yet (And don't know if it would). The speedo goes to 160. Stock it was computer limited to 130. I have had it up to about 145-150 but not faster....
