You're telling us that you're willing to drop a few hundred on a brushless system but will not change a $4 spur gear and a less than $10 pinion?

i would just like to know if my TC4 can run a brushless set up and if it can what is the biggest and fastest brushless set up i can use and what do i have to change to use it. Can you give me a name of a brushless motor and ESC.

I don't see how that's a smart ass answer. You asked for names, I gave you names.

I want to know if there is a cheaper brushless motor, that is not as expensive as the Novak 3.5 im running a 17 turn motor but i want to buy a brushless motor that is at least twise as fast as a 17 but doesnt have the big price tag as the Novak.

mamba max are a tad cheaper and are pretty ballistic. but I think the novaks are faster. or you could piece together a set but I think the cheapest are mamba's (don't quote me on the cheapest lol) just remember quality and power dosn't come cheap!

In case you havnt realized, going fast generally doesnt come cheap. So Spend the extra bucks on something good and quality. So you don't have to buy 2 things when the cheap one isnt fast enough.,

you have to remember that when converting to brushless you take half the brushed turn motor to equal a brushless

EXAMPLE a 13.5 brushless is equla to a 27 turn brushed

so you want a motor that is twice as fast as a 17t so take half that and you get 8.5 which is the brushless equavalent then you need something smaller then that so like it was suggested above get a 3.5 novak. from what i have heard they are good motors/esc.

but i dont know all the specifics with brushless or electric you might want to go with a high voltage set up like a 14.4v set up (assuming you dont want to go lipo) im sure therte are others on here that know more about brushless

and as far as finding a brushless that is twice as fast as the novak without the price tag good luck, there all about the same price range

it's equal to a 9 turn motor so I'd say it'd be pretty quick, bud.

Mamba system is so much better on so many levels. Novak uses old sensored type technology, slow. Mamba has lots of motor choices, totally programable via computer, plus the esc can run brushed motors if you want to race at the track. I love my hacker d50/mamba setup in my TC3 it easily reaches 70mph on 12 cells. Plus the tc3 can actually burn rubber I've smoked up my V-rage tires, I should put up a video sometime. I just kind of melted both diffs do to the insane spool up speed.Big Grin

I own 3 mamba max esc's, best ESC's ever made.:p:
