Help our troops who race in Iraq
#1
Hi everybody,

My name is Craig. I live in Roselle and race on-road at Strictly R/C in Norridge.
I also designed, make, and distribute the I-Lap Timing System.

I was recently contacted by a soldier in Iraq who set up a track for 1/10th and 1/8th scale trucks and was looking for an affordable timing system. I asked him about the Bears helmet in his email signature and it turns out he is a local boy who used to race at Chicagoland R/C.

He set up the track and is trying to raise the funds from the troops he races with for the timing equipment.

I am pitching in myself in the form of a big discount and I thought I would open this up to anyone here who wants to pitch in too.

I set up a quick page with a PayPal button at:
http://www.rclapcounter.com/Donate.htm

I will eat the PayPal fees and every cent will go towards the equipment they need to time their racing.

I did not see anything in the forum rules prohibiting this, but if it's out of line, please remove it or let me know and I will edit it.

Thanks in advance to anyone who chooses to help,
Craig
