For the next site poll, I'd like to have a favorite summer track list.
We have:
The rock pile (WI)
Nitro Farm (WI)
Glitchers (IL)
Hardesty's (IN)
The Dirt Dawgs Tracks (2 Elbourn, 1 McHenry, all IL) Should I seperate these?
Any others you guys have raced on? I'd like to get a full list so I can start up the poll by mid next week.

same... there should be a stickied thread in general discussion listing all tracks (on and offroad, gas and electric) and bash locations with addresses of places near it so people can mapquest it, and short discriptions of the track/bash spot.
SOLD: BCE Pro X1-CRT Truggy, Dace Predator/Unlimited Engineering towered VBS Supermaxx
Current: Nitro Traxxas Slayer Pro 4x4, Nitro Traxxas Slash

Something like that is in the works . I'm looking to add some new content to the site and that is on my list.

I saw something with potential from the train yesterday for bashing. I'm going to try and get some pictures tomorrow, only thing is, I'm not sure its unlocked all the time.

It doesn't make sense that they closed the indoor track before the other was ready.

Unless they knew that their business would be slow because everyone was racing outside.

That was a clear profit they had going on. $8 to practice and all the guy had to do was sit there.

A couple things came to play with that.... First off, their Summer business was non-existent... On a Saturday through the winter, just from opening till Race sign-up at 5:30, there would be anywhere from 40-60 people there just for practice, between 20 and 30 people would stay to race. In the last few weeks before they closed, they were lucky to see 15 people through the door, and have 8-10 people race...
In addition, by closing the indoor track, it would Free up bernies schedule to devote more time to the new track.
Hopefully it is ready to go soon....

Tune, what about the Showmerc track in Missouri? You can add that to your list, yes?

Bernie and the Lesiure crew closed the indoor track to focus on building the new track. Makes total sense to focus on the new one. The old clay is at the new place already. Footing is poured and shouldnt be that long now. Summer business was slow at Leisure's indoor track. So I'm sure it wasnt hurting their business.

According to Scott Cramer at MAx Speed Designs AJ's WAS infact bought out. The offroad track will be torn down and completely re-done. A 500 gallon water tank will be buried in the middle of the track so watering between rounds will be possible.
The indoor carpet track will be completely re-done and so will the pit areas
Scott and the new owners are having a huge 2 day event at the begining of september there will be racing in all classes, a relay race ( stadium truck, truggy , monster truck and buggy) will all be on one team and it will be run like a high school race each guy will race a pre set amount of time and then when that time is up the next guy in your team will take off and race for his amount of time. As for the "baton" that will be passed between racers will be a rental transponder so you'll have to switch between all the cars that race on your team!.... Scott explained it much better but im sure you get the gist.
Its supposedly going to be a huge event!!!
........ AND the owners and scott have approched Carlton Epps (R/C pro series Creator) About getting a round of the pro series there next year! I think that would be bad ass!!! Have the race come to me instead of going to the race!!!!!
Dont mess wit my sig Line tune!

Also keep in mind, the electric bills for the lights/fan/pit area lights, electricity used by racers charging their batteries, etc.

There has to be profit, otherwise I don't think they would have bought 19 acres to build more tracks on.

It might just bring more business to the Hobby shop.

Thats a big gamble, because they wont be as close and LH draws from an large area. I am sure the Hobby shop has a vested interest but the track will sustain itself I am sure.
But with the larger facility, brings larger costs.
Either way I want Bernie just to finish it!!!!

in the end it will probly be cheaper. No more rent to pay, all the profit goes to paying the bills and thats it. Plus there new hobby store will probly produce a lot of money as well as racing/practice fee's. Probly going to take a year or 2 before they start seeing big profits but in the end i think its going to be cheaper.

I'd say longer than 2 years. Thats a huge investment they made for a racing facility.

The guy's that bought AJ's I believe are what I'm going to call semi-pro racers. So according to Scott they should be able to build a top notch race facility. Their experience should really change this track and make it one of the best in the mid-west.
Pro-Series race in Dekalb IL. in 2006!!! That would be sweet to only drive 10 minutes from my house.
Do you think that track can adjust to being watered everyday?
