Werks Fuel

I stopped at Al's for fuel but they were out of 30% O'Donnels so I picked up Werks. I finally broke it open today. All I can say is WOW!! I am stunned at the difference in performance. First off I swear my temps dropped about 30 degrees. And that is after leaning it out. I still have great smoke and tons of power @ 220. Before I was running at about 260 for the same performance. I also thing the power delivery seemed smoother but that could just be me.

I'm sold. It's worth the 3 buck more it costs. I never thought I would switch from Odonnels but I definitly know what I am buying now!

Wish Central R/c sold it but they only sell Byron's which isn't a bad fuel but it isn't as good as Werks was for the 1 quart that I ran it (I got it with my CRT that I used to have)

I wish! LOL. I cant speak for other brands I havnt tried. SP8 was GARBAGE! Other than that Odonnels is all I've used. I really am impressed.

But Mike, You can still give me a deal on the buggy body you will be painting for me soon! For that I will gladly give a shameless plug.

See I like Byrons more, I switched back from Werks. Temps are about 10-15* higher with the Byrons, BUT I get about 10-11:30 to a tank now compared to 7-8:30 which sucked....Same power pretty much, byrons smells worse but that is what that nitroscent stuff is good for (byrons smells like CHERRIES now! lmao)

Now I have had the exact opposite as Ponch. Maybe he just doesn't know how to tune.


Temps dropped from Byrons to Werks and I turn the highspeed in about a turn and a half and the low about a half turn. Haven't timed the tanks but I think I'm getting a little bit better with Werks and I get alot more power.

psh I actually think Byron's smells fine since that is what I used since I first started and what most everyone around here uses
